THE OWNER NEEDS TO BE EDUCATED ON THE PROPER WAY TO RUN A RESTAURANT.....THE PLACE IS IN NEED OF MAJOR RENOVATIONS. She has no idea how to be welcoming and good to customers.....she's rude and was seen smoking in the kitchen. She does not belong working at a restaurant let alone running one.

The positive: My wife and I stopped at this diner on our visit to Bennington, VT because it was on the main road and looked inviting. The menu was limited, which is sometimes better, and the food was hot and delicious. The overall restaurant was clean. The negative: When we walked in to the restaurant, the waitress (owner?) just stared... More

We stopped by for a late Sunday morning breakfast and should have left when the place was 3 quarters empty and we could tell the people were not local. Staff were not friendly and we felt like we were intruding. We both had omelets and they were OK, mine had Hash fresh out of the can and was $7.50! Place... More

You walk in to a small town atmosphere with the waitress happy to chat with the counter folk...sounds good unless you sit in a booth and expect a cup of coffee, never mind a refill. I almost got up to get it myself , but didn't want to embarrass my table mates. Honestly don't remember the food I was so... More

We went in, picked a table... and sat... and sat ... and sat. Then we got up and left. Literally NO service.

Substantial food, neighborhood atmosphere, you'll like it. Best for breakfast, but aren't most diners?

We are locals and had not been here in a 8 years because of a previous bad experience. It has nit improved. The restaurant is filthy. Picture dingy walls adorned with stuffed Christmas bell decorations caked with dust. The booth edge near the wall had a charming ridge of built up filth from where the crumbs of diners past were... I only had breakfast - can't comment on lunch or dinner. The place looks a little care-worn from the outside but it's fine inside. They have a fine pancake selection although I didn't get any. Good, basic fare at a cheap price.
