Nice lunch stop on way thru town

Small counter service restaurant. Friendly and efficient service. Very good quality fish and chips. Lightly battered, not greasy. Loved the mushy peas. Fried clams tender and tasty. Chips were fresh and well cooked. However, the English style was not my favorite. Chips were soft. Nice place to stop... read more

Food options in VT aren't exciting. We found this place on Yelp and it had consistent reviews. We ordered a meat and potato pie and a medium rare burger with fries. The pie was decent. But the burger was well done. Everyone else was ordering fish and chips.

This tiny fish and chips shop, makes really good food! The batter is crisp and thin so actually get to enjoy the delicious fresh fish. Their chips are real potatoes and you get a choice of sides. Mushy peas is one of the offered sides, not one of my favorites, but I like to have my fish and chips without a... More

This tiny place serves up as close to an authentic British fish and chips as you'll find anywhere in Vermont. Crispy was well-prepared, not greasy, and the fries were perfect. Nice British flair through decor and UK products for sale. My go-to choice when I'm hankering fish and chips.

We were spending the day exploring the area and came upon this place. After looking around town, this looked like it would be the most unique dining experience; It ended up being just a place to grab lunch. The counter person was busy and thus brusque. Later, as the tables cleared out, she did come by to check on us... More

don't blink or you will miss this tiny, 7 or so tables, restaurant. the owners appeared to be the ones doing the cooking, and they were extremely friendly. the place itself was not much to look at inside, and seemed more like a take-out sandwich shop than anything else. we all had the fish and chips which is their signature... I chose this restaurant because of the reviews. We were very disappointed with the food. The fish and chips were rather greasy, the fried scallops had too much breading and the fish tacos only had cole slaw and salsa on the side. Not worth the money we spent on the food. I would not recommend this restaurant after our experience.

We had lunch here yesterday. It was a very hot day and were happy to discover that this little place is more than the take away chipper it looks like from the outside. It was nicely air conditioned and had seating for about 20. The real star of this place, though, is the food. We both had fish and chips... More
