We ate Friday, September 12th at the Bennington Station Restaurant to celebrate my husband's and his sister's birthdays. The service was excellent. I had the seafood dish with shrimp, scallops, and lobster with penne pasta. My husband had the prime rib. Both dishes were excellent. The carrot cake for dessert is the best carrot cake around.

We vacation in New England every October and we start in Bennington. We always eat at Bennington Station and have never been disappointed! Love their Porto Fino, I could easily licked the plate and not be embarrassed.

This place is just charming, and filled with character. We stopped here for lunch, the beef barley soup contained fresh veggies: celery, carrots, pearl onions (seriously, when do you ever see those in a restaurant?), the salad was a nice mix of greens, Maple Balsamic dressing on the salad was amazing, and my husband enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich (several... Based on recommendations, we stopped there for lunch. Sat in the glass room. Service was a little pokey, given that it was not very busy. The heirloom tomato soup was very good. I had the Pesto chicken with risotto, and my wife had the steak sandwich. Both were pretty good, nothing negative to say, but not blown away. It is... More

This restaurant was recommended by our motel staff. It is a very attractive building being an old RR station.. Unfortunately it was understaffed the weeknight we visited. Our main courses did not arrive until my husband reminded our server that she had forgotten us. The food looked unappealing and was cold. The chef did offer to redo the food and... More

You have two menus to choose from, the dinning room or tavern.. depending where you sit. Really good food, no disappointments here!

If you are visiting Bennington, this is a great unique place to stop for a meal. Fresh ingredients with typical pub type fare. From the train tracks you cross over to enter the restaurant, to the two railroad cars next to the restaurant, you can almost imagine what this station was like back in the day. Service was very good.

My wife and I had dinner here last night and it was one of the very best we have had. The restaurant is situated in an old railroad station which has been lovingly maintained. It is constructed of massive granite blocks and dark wood, With the great ambience the service and food was as expected. The special of lobster, diver scallops... More
