Ordered the lobster pie special and a black diamond steak. Food was awesome, love the lobster pie, and the ice cream pie they have is unreal. Will be returning soon

We recently had a family dinner at the Hilltop Restaurant. Four adults and a toddler. The waitress was very delightful and all our dinners were delicious. We had stopped going to this restaurant because we had experienced some less than adequate meals about two years ago, but we decided to give it another chance and it has earned our admiration... This restaurant serves some of the blandest tasting pasta and sauce i have ever tasted. Food is below average, not homemade and not worth the prices. The atmosphere is dark dated and another place that needs an up to date makeover and new menu.

There were four in our party and each one ordered something different, everything was great and we enjoyed our conversation with the owner. Highly recommend

This place just does not do it for me. No atmosphere, average food and slow service. We were seated for at least 10 minutes without being offered any drinks to start. Finally after waiving down someone we got our drink order in. The appetizers were uninspired, the bruschetta consisted of tomatoes and olive oil nothing else, rather boring. The calamaris... More

I love steak and ordered the Black Diamond, an unusual shape, but marinated and less $ than the porterhouse. It was delicious and cooked exactly as ordered, med. rare. The salad was really good, mostly due to their homemade dressings. Their salad bar was in need of attention and there weren't that many people eating there that evening (weeknight). It... More

The sirloin steak had awesome flavor, and my calamari appetizer was pleasantly surprising. baby octopus were included. the salad bar was good: fresh unwilted ingredients, with various other cold salads to choose from. The service was great. the orange Juice wasn't. It never is, so I really cant compare. Just get a glass of Chardonnay.

The Hilltop restaurant is one of our favorites restaurants in Barre, Vermont. The restaurant has a very nice salad bar with very fresh ingredients and many choices. The salad dressings are home made and there is plenty of fresh, warm bread and butter. The entrees are reasonably priced and delicious. The whisky bread pudding was a very tasty dessert. Whenever... This is a good and average Italian restaurant. The food is plentiful, the staff nice, but the food is good down home Italian.
