There are not a lot of choices in Tropic. Clarkes is good, nothing special about it. The food is good, the service is good, nothing wrong about the place but nothing outstanding either.
I guess we didn't go on a typical day, at least I hope so. We had just left Bryce Canyon heading to Green River, UT along Hwy 12 and 24. Only place to eat in Tropic. We arrived about 12:30 PM and told the waitress we were in a hurry because we were riding to Green River and wanted to... More
typical american diner with large portions of very unhealthy food ;-) Service was good and food was also good.
There are not many choices for eating out in the Bryce Canyon area. We decided to try Clark's for dinner one night. They were packed and we waited 45 minutes to get seated. The food was okay but the service was tops. All American fare nothing fancy.
I decided to wait and try a different restaurant while traveling the Scenic Byway Route 12 – Clark’s was a popular spot for many of my fellow reviewers on Trip Advisor so I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. I opted for the blueberry pancakes. With the addition of blueberry syrup, I was in blueberry heaven! See,... More
When we got to Tropic and were faced with a choice between a pizza bar and a restaurant adjacent to a supermarket our hopes were not high! Nevertheless I was served with an excellent "bleu" fillet mignon, which was really tender and had loads of bar b q flavour. The vegetables, sadly, were not of the same quality - over... More
Located just down the hill from Bryce Canyon in Tropic. Went for lunch. Great burgers, pizza, grill cheese, fries and southwestern foods wraps. Only good restaurant between Bryce and Escalante.
My husband and I ate here while on our way to a few state parks (since the government shutdown kept us from being able to see Bryce) and the food was pretty good. I had the grilled cheese and my husband had the burger and they were both quite good!! The decor was really nice and the place was very... More
There's not a huge selection of restaurants in Tropic and we chose Clarke's on basis that the reviews on TA were generally positive and we all fancied a burger. The food was absolutely fine. Its pretty basic fare but done well and plenty of it so you can't really ask for much more than that. Service was very friendly and... More
We had been told that Tropic was "dry". How pleasantly surprised we were then to find beer and wine on the menu! The restaurant is dark, so the atmosphere suffers during daylight hours. I enjoyed my rib-eye steak (very tender), but found the salad very average, like my wife' s burger. We also had breakfast here the following day. Poor... More
