Description: Tiburon Fine Dining has quietly become one of Utah's premier restaurants. Tiburon is located in the south end of the Salt Lake valley in an unassuming building that formerly housed a fruit stand. But don't be fooled, Tiburon serves award-winning contemporary American cuisine ranging from pan-seared Beef Tenderloin with Foie Gras and Madiera syrup to Black Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna with Honey and Soy Marinated Carrots. The Crab Cakes consistently win best in the state and the salads are raved about by the locals. But it does not end with the food, service is always top-notch. Led by a staff that has been with owners since its opening in 1999, guests always feel welcomed in the warm and friendly atmosphere. And in the Summer with it's patio dining. Tiburon is the place to dine in the South Valley.

Classy place with great food and service. Yes, it's pricey but worth it, especially when you want to go somewhere fancy for a special occasion. The beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked and had loads of flavor! One of the best steaks I have had in a long time. The veges were a little too al dente for my preference but... More

First time here. Have heard about Tiburon for years but have never tried it until tonight. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. The service was outstanding, our server John was attentive but not overbearing. We were able to have a nice conversation without much interruption. The food was good at every step. Prices are high, but given the experience... More

Tiburon used to be my very favorite resturant and I always had a great experience. We took a person that was staying with us from out of town and could not believe how expensive it has gotten. Also the food was mediocre at best. I had the beef tenderloin that I have always ordered and the steak itself was flavorless... More

This is a place for special occasions. The service is excellent. The menu is eclectic and varied. Not your usual run of the mill choices. The food is always prepared perfectly. At least it has been every time we have been there. If you go in the summer, you can dine outside in their cozy "backyard". The dessert is always... More

I used to like this place. It is cute and nice inside. The service is still very good, but they have become way expensive for what you get. $45.00 for rib eye Kobe that was about like my shoe leather. Not sure where they think they can charge more than Ruth's Chris for a steak. The other dishes have gone... More

We choose this from reviews...DISAPPOINTING ! Garlic mash/ cold. Crab cakes were unrecognizable as crab cakes, mushy and over seasoned. Diver scallops were inconsistently cooked and uninteresting. The best app was the St Andre Braised Kurabuto Pork / great combo of favors! Tenderloin entree ,too much going on in plate presentation....beef was poor quality, texture was very soft with sinew... My friends and I always conclude our ski vacation in Salt Lake City with dinner at Tiburon. This is a high-end restaurant located in the suburb of Sandy. Service, as one would expect, is polite and attentive. The food is of uniformly excellent quality and mainstream in its focus. I usually choose the New Zealand elk, one of the restaurant's... More

How could we live here for over 20 years and never have tried Tiburon! SHAME on us. The food was exceptional: the grouper special, topped with crab salad, was refreshing and light. The tenderloin perfectly cooked. The house salad including Braeburn apples and fontina was, perhaps, even my favorite part of dinner. Light on garlic, the garlic mashed potatoes were... More

If you live in the Salt Lake City suburbs it is hard to find really good non-chain restaurants. Tiburon is one of my favorite. Although it is pricier than its counterparts, Wild Rose and Epic, it is worth it. The staff is friendly and attentive. The filet mignon is delectable. The wine selection is great; however, you can take your... More

We go here a few times a year and we love it. The entrees are all so tasty and well priced for what you get. The butter is amazing. Seriously.
