Beautiful Setting / Food is fine, but not out of this world

We went for early brunch and happy that we did. Even though we were early, service was slow, but the wait staff pleasant. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, that would be gone later as all the tables filled up. The food was plated to look ready for a photo, and tasted good, but not exceptional for... read more

Not my most memorable experience. As everyone says the setting and ambience is like being in a fairytale. The mother's day brunch was tasty but not really plentiful in variety, especially for the price. The service started good and went down hill fast. I ordered sparkling water and I still waiting for it. The fresh squeezed lemonade was like eating... More

I was last at La Caille in the late 70s. Went recently with my husband. It has maintained its status as an excellent spot for a lovely brunch. My husband had eggs benedict and I had a lovely crepe with fresh fruit. We both enjoyed the croissants and crispy potatoes. Walked the grounds with peacocks and ducks wandering by. It's... More

I'm just 'correcting' a 'misplacement' of this fine restaurant. It is located in the Community of Granite, Utah, at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake County. (The US Post Office that serves it - and our community - is located in Sandy, Utah - just a few miles to the west. This is a common 'misplacement.) There... More

We have been to LaCaille at least 3 times on different visits to Salt Lake City. It is an amazing place to go to. The landscaping of the grounds are fantastic. You can walk outside and enjoy the scenery before going in for your meal. The flowers, shrubs and trees are really something to see. Their are pathways to walk... More

Tucked against the mountains this fairytale restaurant was the perfect choice for treating my best friend who I haven't seen in over 20 years! From the minute we turned onto the cobblestone driveway, until we finally left after being treated and served a meal fit for royalty, the evening was perfect! We enjoyed a walk around the enchanting grounds and... More

Up front this is not a cheap meal on a budget but if you're looking for a great meal with tremendous ambience for a special occasion this is the best in the area. From the valet parking to the restaurant staff this is a first class experience. We were there for our anniversary which they helped us celebrate in a... More

La Caille is worth going to just to see it. In every season it's a wonderland- in winter ice fountains full of colored lights dot the grounds. In summer unicorns made of flowers pull carts toward the castle/restaurant. You enter up a long brick path guarded by ducks and a swan. The food is pricey - but brunch is not... More

We ordered lamb, which came out grossly overcooked. It was so tough that my husband could hardly cut it. The other dishes, though impressive looking, were average in taste. I certainly felt that we were paying a premium for the atmosphere to get mediocre food. This visit was the third time we had gone there. The other two times were... More
