Description: The history of Los Cucos Mexican Café is an inspiring story of...
The history of Los Cucos Mexican Café is an inspiring story of perseverance and success. It’s a story of two brothers, Manuel and Sergio Cabrera who came to Houston, Texas looking for the “American Dream.” Their dream became true through lot of hard work, dedication, and determination. By setting goals for success and providing the best quality in food and the best possible service to each and every customer since 1991, they have succeeded in turning their dreams into reality. The way of success of the Cabrera brothers’ was constructed by their constant work and determination. Along the way, both brothers worked long shifts seven days of the week. They scrubbed floors, washed dishes, and prepared food. The dream in their hearts motivated them to continue forward and to save enough money to be able to open a small restaurant. The opening of the first restaurant was a bittersweet dream become true. After having their grand opening on a Monday, the restaurant was destroyed by the fire the following Thursday, leaving nothing but ashes, smoke and frustration. And there was another unexpected surprise; they didn’t have insurance. All their savings were gone, but not their dreams and their will to succeed. They wouldn’t let any obstacle, hardship, or setback stop them from achieving their goals. Working even harder, they were able to reopen the restaurant one year later. This is the beginning of a business that has consistently grown stronger and continues to grow and thrive today. With more than 14 locations and many more planned to open, Los Cucos Mexican Café is committed to offering you the best food and the best possible service. Our warm and hospitable staff will make you feel at home.Thank you for making Los Cucos Mexican Café your restaurant.

Service not bad, but just slow enough that we ate too many chips. Wait staff offered to get more chips and salsa. There were two salsas, both pretty good. One smoky with a little kick and the other with avocado base. My chicken fajita taco salad was large with big chunks of chicken. The waiter... read more

The food was delicious & there was plenty of it. Our waiter was very friendly & helpful. Even though the restaurant was crowded we didn't have to wait to be seated.

My friend wanted to take me here and raved that it was the best Mexican food in the area. I was leery but took the suggestion. The food and service did not disappoint. We shared a mixed burrito and a chimichanga. There was so much food. Of note: the salsa is warm, which was a cool change. Guacamole was brought... More

We stopped at Los Cucos Mexican Cafe on our way into Sandy, Utah only because we had a restaurant.com certificate. We went back again because the food and service were really good. The Queso Flameado was the best we have had all across the U.S. The flour tortillas are amazing too; they are thinner than some we have had, fresh... More

We went there for dinner at 8pm on Saturday and it was LOUD. Definitely not known for the ambiance, but the food was great and we were STUFFED. Both the salsa and guacamole were great that came with the chips. The mixed drinks were big, but a tad weak. I had the Delicioso and my fiancé had the El Memo.... More

My wife and I have made this restaurant our go to for "Mexican" food. There are many very good qualities to this eatery with a few negatives too. I am not partial to the salsa that is served. Chips are brought with two different salsas, one a very mild tomatillo green salsa and a roasted pepper salsa but neither are... More

The food was tasty, lots of choices. Regular salsa is good. Service was good. If you like very HOT salsa, ask for it. It is super hot. Portion size is big. Mango chili Margaritas are good too. Overall nice Mexican restaurant.

I love Mexican food but this was the worst. There were 13 in our group and most felt the same. To top it off we had slow poor service. The only thing good was the chips and salsa. I won't eat there again.

Our waiter was very attentive, and the food was delicious. Try the Stuffed Avocado - it's amazing! The fajitas are great, too!
