Description: The history of Los Cucos Mexican Café is an inspiring story of perseverance...
The history of Los Cucos Mexican Café is an inspiring story of perseverance and success. It’s a story of two brothers, Manuel and Sergio Cabrera who came to Houston, Texas looking for the “American Dream.” Their dream became true through lot of hard work, dedication, and determination. By setting goals for success and providing the best quality in food and the best possible service to each and every customer since 1991, they have succeeded in turning their dreams into reality. The way of success of the Cabrera brothers’ was constructed by their constant work and determination. Along the way, both brothers worked long shifts seven days of the week. They scrubbed floors, washed dishes, and prepared food. The dream in their hearts motivated them to continue forward and to save enough money to be able to open a small restaurant. The opening of the first restaurant was a bittersweet dream become true. After having their grand opening on a Monday, the restaurant was destroyed by the fire the following Thursday, leaving nothing but ashes, smoke and frustration. And there was another unexpected surprise; they didn’t have insurance. All their savings were gone, but not their dreams and their will to succeed. They wouldn’t let any obstacle, hardship, or setback stop them from achieving their goals. Working even harder, they were able to reopen the restaurant one year later. This is the beginning of a business that has consistently grown stronger and continues to grow and thrive today. With more than 14 locations and many more planned to open, Los Cucos Mexican Café is committed to offering you the best food and the best possible service. Our warm and hospitable staff will make you feel at home.Thank you for making Los Cucos Mexican Café your restaurant.

Food is average and service is lousy

The food doesn't seem as authentic as I was hoping for. It was what seemed average at a normal Mexican restaurant. The service was horrible. I eventually had to go to the front desk to ask for my bill and I had to obtain my own box. We waited about 30 min after seating to get drinks and an... read more

Little greasy but fine. Nothing to write home about. My husband and I would choose other Mexican cafes over this one but it wasn't the worst we've ever tried. Won't visit again.

Yuck. I literally got sick 2hrs after leaving. Table guac was saltier then the great salt lake. .. a lot of fried food on the menu. The cheese stuffed jalapeños were giant balls of white greasy cheese. A bit different Spanish food than i have ever seen out there.

Friendly service, ample portions, reasonable prices. My favorites are the premium margaritas, free salsa and chips, and the pork green enchiladas.

We haven't been back to Los Cucos in quite a while. The last two visits were not worth going back. But we have no great Mexican food in Sandy. So decided to try it again. It was GREAT!!!!! Everything!!!! The margaritas were ok, just let a tequila shot in between. I have trouble with my stomach and what I can... More

To say the least, I was totally disappointed in the food. I read one review from a individual fro Texas that said the food was good, for Utah, as they find Mexican food in Utah to be bland. Well, this place is pretty bland. I really found a lack of taste in every dish I had (I ordered the Cowboy... More

Had the Delicioso platter which is basically a cast iron pan, covered in sautéed onions underneath pork carnitas, chicken, beef, fish and shrimp. The platter comes hot ! Served with rice, bean soup and tortillas. Delicious! Tortilla chips were warm (I like this touch) and were served with a warm tomato based salsa and a creamier, green cold salsa. I've... More

Holy smokes! We've made the drive to Los Cucos at least a 6 times and everytime we've gotten something different. We've never been disappointed. We invited a large family party and everyone said that they were incredibly pleased. If I had to pick something to get you started on, I loved .... nope. I can't say one over another. Just... More

Mexican food but with some unique style and flavors here. All the items you would expect but just done a little bit differently. Good bar menu as well. Been here several times now and the service is good. Prices are about what you would expect as well.
