The Painted Pony is in a complex of buildings, and if you're not familiar with the layout, just keep asking people until you find the place - upstairs and in the back. I was dining alone and made a last minute reservation, upon arriving late in town. The restaurant staff was very accommodating. And while, no table was available in... More

A wonderful restaurant. You must make reservations. The food and service were first rate and the prices quite reasonable.

This restaurant is hidden away on a second floor in a little cluster of restaurants but worth the short hunt to find it. Its a bit old school and the wine list needs some deepening but the food was excellent, the décor comfortable and the service very friendly. The chef accommodated some food allergies by reworking a special and was... More

The duck was delicious. Loved the quiet and romantic atmosphere. The restaurant is set in an artist village. Wish we had gone earlier to visit the galleries. I recommend this restaurant and we will probably visit again.

Had dinner on a Saturday evening. It was quite busy and we sat inside rather than outside. It was a mistake because the evening was warm and could have been quite enjoyable. Had a family with two young girls. They were very loud, unruly and the parents seemed oblivious to their behaviour and actually joined in with their own version... More

We had a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter Ryan and the other staff were very attentive and helpful. The halibut was one of the specials, and it was cooked perfectly. We also had heirloom tomatoes from the owners garden that were delicious. The duck was a fun preparation as well. Everything was presented well. Hats off to the chef and... More

Really enjoyed this. The quality and standard of preparation is very high. I was eating alone and had lots of questions and asked advice on the courses. Staff are really enthusiastic and pleased to help. Deserts are good and 'different'. $65 for two courses, coffee, glass of sparkling and gratuity was reasonable given the very high quality

The food was excellent, the restaurant elegant. Good wine list and good service. Waitress discreetly helped us move away from a loud party.

The restaurant is very beautiful and so is the presentation of the food. We sat at a table looking down on their charming square which had lighted trees and children playing on the grass. My sea bass was a little overcooked and the sauce a little too spicy -- but the plate was so artfully composed, I enjoyed it anyway.... More

My wife and I usually play the field when traveling: a different restaurant every night. Painted Pony changed that; we ate there all four nights of our recent stay in St. George, never repeating an app, entrée, or dessert and savoring every bite of every dish. Service is excellent, ambience too, but the clincher is the presentation, creativity, and tastiness... More
