We found the BB restaurant to be "Very Trendy" and a place to be seen by tourist. Service slow, maybe the staff was overloaded, food, bland and didn't seem fresh except the eggs. Great decorations are great for children and tourist but overdone for locals, only visited it once and were in St. George for 2 months. Would not recommend... More

Friendly fast service, extensive men with numerous choices, big big portions. Good for family's gathering over a meal.

The Black Bear Diner breakfast portions are huge to say the least. The food is just like home cooked with the exception of the pancakes...they're better than home cooked. If you're hungry and want good food while in St. George, go there!

If you want a lot of food, this is the place to go. The food is ok and the atmosphere is good, but I wish they had half size options. I know people who go to the black bear and share a plate. I, personally, would rather go to Denny's next door and have a plate of my own for... More

Black Bear has good food in large portions so don't be surprised at the prices. I thought they were steep until the quantities started coming. WOW! It is good hometown food. Food like your mother makes.

I've always made it a point to stop by the original Black Bear, near Mt. Shasta, at every opportunity. My wife and I were happy to see one come to St. George. If there is a downside, it is that the place is often crowded, but with good reason. You are unlikely to leave hungry but you may well leave... More

I took the advice of Tripadvisor members and took my family to the Black Bear Diner. I really wanted to love it and be able to give it more stars but I just couldn't, and for a couple of reasons- First of all the diner itself is pretty cool with a bunch of big carved bears on the outside. The... More

Finally a food portion enough to satisfy my hungry husband! Most people could share a meal this size. Great home cooking and so flavorful. Great breakfasts, omelette's and waffles!

We drove by this place for 4 days and it didn't matter if it was breakfast or dinner, it was packed. The last morning we ate breakfast there and it was GREAT! The portions were up to American standards and the quality was good. We'll eat there the next time we're in St George.

This is definitely comfort food! Excellent food and service, and priced appropriately. I have never heard of this chain of restaurants as they are not in our area, but we pulled off the freeway on a drive to St. George/Zion area and found this gem. The sweet cream pancakes are really good!
