Great steak and other stuff in a lovely setting

Not our first visit here, certainly not our last! Steaks and pork chops. Veggies were properly done and delicious. Wait staff was helpful and accommodating.

Steakhouse that you can either have the kitchen cook your steak (or other food) or cook your steak yourself on a searing hot stone they bring to the table. I chose to have my top sirloin (wanted a nice lean cut) cooked in the kitchen, Medium. The steak they brought me was unevenly cut and the thicker section was Rare... More

We met friends halfway from Phoenix to Salt Lake. I decided to treat them by taking them to the Anasazi. I called ahead from Salt Lake and left a messaging asking for a reservation for that night (FRIDAY). I told them we were traveling and contacting me might be difficult. They actually called and left a message and then called... More

Am I the only one that thinks this is an odd concept? Ate dinner with my wife. While looking over the menu, I see the stuffed mushrooms. The menu doesn't give descriptions of any of their food, so I ordered the mushrooms. The "stuffing" is actually cheese. It was either goat cheese or Gorgonzola cheese, but I don't like cheeses... We went here one night after hiking all day. We were hungry! For an appetizer we had the gruyere and onion fondue. It was delicious. For dinner we all had steak. They serve the steak on stones so it is still cooking and stays hot while you are eating it. My son had the ostrich medallions, they were cooked to... More

Interesting concept - hot lava stone and you cook your steak to your desired temperature. Everything here is delicious and the service is great. Well worth a visit here - bring your appetite and save room for desert.

We had an amazing dinner. The guys ordered their food cooked on the grill and us girls cooked ours at the table on the hot rocks. We had chicken, scallops and prawns. The food was very good. Wine prices were reasonable. Cooking your food at the table adds a neat component to dining out with friends.

The "treat" of this place is that they bring you your meat seared and then you "cook" it on a 600 degree rock at your table. Just as soon as we walked into the place, I worried it was going to be a bad idea. There was a thick haze hanging all through the restaurant ... the obvious result of... More

We were in St. George with some friends, and they recommended Anasazi Steakhouse. Location There are three main rooms; downstairs, the Conference(?) Room, which is where they stick the kids, and upstairs, which seems to be where they keep all the smoke. We were upstairs. Note that the upstairs room has bar-type seating and tables, so if you don't like... More

First time we went was very good. Kind of a gimmicky approach with the "hot stone" to finish. Prices aren't over the top. Second time there steaks were way over the top with the salt seasoning. WAY TOO SALTY. Went there a third time when guests came in from California. Instructed the waiter to tell the chef to go easy... More
