Was great but seems to be going downhill

Nicolitalia used to be one of our regular go to restaurants. The pizzas were exceptional and had a flavor of the East's "real" pizza. The crust was amazing. But, lately, you see different people working in there everytime you go and the quality seems to change with the people. maybe the... read more

I recently had lunch here with a few colleges from work. I haven't eaten here for several years and decided to give it a try. Boy was I disappointed! The atmosphere has completely changed, and the aroma of fresh pizza has been replaced with the smell of laundry detergent. Interestingly enough, it appeared as though there was fresh batch of... This used to be, hands down, the best pizza in the valley. Now that Nick is gone and new owners have taken over, it's just one of thousands of mediocre pizza joints found on every street corner. I can no longer, in good conscience, recommend Nicolitalia Pizzeria. Ignore everything I said before about this place.

This spun up on my Urban Spoon one time, and it had good reviews, but my family didn't feel like pizza. So on my next two trips to Provo, I tried to go, only to get voted down each time. Finally, my family relented, and we ordered out. I was VINDICATED big time. The ingredients were fresh, toppings were plentiful,... More

Don't bother ordering carryout. When I went to pick up the one pizza I ordered, they told me I had to wait in the huge line in front of the one register they have before I could pay and pick up my food. 20 minutes later I finally left with my cold, bland pizza. What a waste of time and... More

I have visited this town many times and bought a lot of pizza ---long story. But only on this last visit did I go to Nicolitalia. Frankly I had driven by it a zillion times and never gave it a second thought. It is not a giant Brick Oven style operation serving hundreds but it has plenty of room. Very... More

This is a very unique place that's great for family, gatherings, or a date night. The food that is made to order is absolutely delicious and dessert is always a treat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone but especially those that have not tried it before.

We shared a Calzone (sausage & pepperoni) Combo with a House salad and drink for a very reasonable price. The salad was pretty big, and their dressing was sweet & delicious! The calzone was just what we expected -- very tasty with a cup of marinara sauce on the side. There was plenty of seating inside. It seemed like college... More

I love Nic's. But since Nic left it is not a as good. Not even close. We got two large pizzas and a calzone for takeout a couple days ago. The large margarita was mainly just cheese. It tasted OK, but nothing like it used to. The calzone was AWFUL. It looked terrible and tasted worse. I am very sad... More

This is absolutely the best pizza in Utah County. It's authentic, real pizza and it tastes that way. They have a variety of options and I have never once been disappointed with anything we have ordered. They also have real cannoli and san pellegrino drinks. Does it honestly get any better than that?
