China in Provo

Had Hot Pot food in China and was excited to revisit the experience in Provo. While the hot pot was much more modern, the food just as tasty. Getting to choose your own ingredients makes it sure to be delicious.

My father and I went to this restaurant for lunch based on the reviews. Just to preface my remarks - I travel to Asia a lot for business eat this sort of thing (Shabu Shabu) when I am there. The restaurant seemed clean but the cook tops need to be cleaned better. The owner of the restaurant seems like a... More

The food was so good! We did the all you can eat hot pot and the chef spent a solid 10 minutes personally showing us how to do it correctly. There were so many items to try (beef, chicken, fish, all kinds of meatballs, shrimp, all kinds of veggies, mussels, 3 kinds of noodles, and more), and even all you... More

Great authentic Chinese hot pot! The owner asked if this was my first time, and since it was he showed me how it all worked and how to mix the sauces. This is like Japanese Shab Shabu, but Chinese. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and he had a great selection of meats and fish. All in all a very... More

The perpetually steamy windows from bubbling hot pots and fresh jiaozi (dumplings, less well known -- order in advance) scream "热闹", an adventure waiting to happen. This Chinese fondue is my favorite place to celebrate during the winter. The couple who run the place are from NE China, and work hard to please customers. Bottomless drinks, plates of food to... Went to this Chinese restaurant because of a Trip Advisor review. Chinese fondue. You select the raw ingredients and cook at your table. Wonderful. No sweet and sour here. Sort of like Vietnamese soup.

My favorite restaurant in Provo (I go here every year for my birthday). Order ahead for the dumplings (pork and cilantro are the best). Otherwise, the traditional hot pot (Chinese fondue) consists of a savory broth - spiced to your preference - and a selection of meats, seafood, vegetables and noodles that you steam in your pot at your table.... I was amazed that after two years of being away this place was still here. As soon as I landed in Utah we checked to see if it was still open and it was. The place is absolutely delicious. After two years of not being in Utah that's the first restaurant that hit my mind when my stomach told me... More

My friend invited me to go there for lunch. It was fun picking out what I wanted to put into the boiling broth. The sauce we dipped everything into was so tasty. All the boiling pots made my hair droppy, but it was worth the experience. I'll go there again.

I had never tried Hot Pot before and was looking forward to it. I went for lunch at an odd hour and was the only one there. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, they explained everything to me and demonstrated what to do. They were very accommodating of my nut allergy, and took away the peanuts and made a... More
