We used to live in UT so we were anxious to return to what we remembered as a great location for fresh Mex food. The food was great but the restaurant was woefully neglected by the young persons in the store. No towels in the restroom, ice machine not working properly for the beverages, and trash overflowing at the exits.... More

Ate here 3 times in my 4 day stay. I'm craving a pork burrito. The tortillas are heavenly and the horchatta was tasty too. Can't wait to go back.

I've eaten here dozens of times over the years, and whenever I'm in town, I make it a point to stop at Cafe Rio because I love the cilantro lime vinaigrette. I order the salad every single time, and again, I was not disappointed. My husband loves the burrito, enchilada style. Sometimes there is a long line, sometimes there is... More

Tried to enjoy a quick lunch today at Cafe Rio. Ordered a sweet pork burrito, not enchilada style. Cook behind counter continued to prepare it enchilada style and didn't listen to the worker next to him telling him that he was doing it wrong. Wouldn't listen to me when I stated that I did not want it enchilada style. When... More

My husband and I just recently took a 3 week road trip, we were pleasantly surprised at how good our meal was at this restaurant. We both ordered the "Sweet Pork Salad". The sweet pork flavor was very good. The portion was huge. The line was very long, We would frequent this restaurant often if we lived here. Highly recommended.

The food used to be fabulous here, but as the chain has expanded the food is losing quality and the customer service has flown out the window. Orders are rushed and take-out orders are often mixed up. Prices are higher, portions are smaller and quality of the food is lower. The lines are still long, however, so maybe I'm the... More

I still can't figure out why this place is so popular. You walk in and get into the crowded amusement park style line. When it's your turn to order you begin the elementary school style cafeteria experience. It really comes down to "what combination of rice, beans, lettuce and meat can I slop in this tin pan for you"? Yes,... More

Been a Cafe Rio fan my whole life! I would eat at Cafe Rio weekly during High School and generally get there about once or twice a month at best. I love the pork tacos, half pinto half black beans, medium sauce with some extra lettuce on the side. The employees have always been great and get a kick when... More
