Best nachos around

We have eaten at El Azteca in other Utah Valley locations years ago, so this location was new for us. Their nachos - now with a variety of different meats - always satisfy the hungry! The half portion is enough to feed 3-4 and the Al Pastor was excellent.

So I went here for lunch with my two kids. I got the 2 taco combo my son had a smothered beef burrito and my daughter had a chicken quesedilla and a taco. Our total was $27 which is way more than it was worth. There was hardly any meat in the tacos or burrito. The rice was bland but... More

Our daughter took us here for dinner. She is vegan and has choices here. We may have been extra hungry, but we were pleasantly surprized at how tasty the food was. We had never heard of this place, but then we don't live in the immediate area. I tried a chicken enchilada and a carnita taco. I got the beans... More

Ordered an uber delicious combo plate and was very satisfied. Left my belly full along with my wallet! Also order some horchata, this was a great choice as well. The salsas and enchilada sauce were authentic. Great flavor and a perfect spice! Thanks!

Best value with something on the menue for everybody. The chicken and fish are great, the chicken french fry "nachos" are a must! Anything can be made without meat, with seasonal grilled veggies, and several types of soy for even the deserning vegetarian palate. The chili reeno burrito was another winner. The salsa bar has so many varieties the only... More

Reading some of these great reviews has me contemplating trying the place again. My experience with El Azteca is an interesting one. While I was going to BYU in the early 1990's, a dear friend and alumni would take me out to dinner there on a regular basis for nostalgic reasons. I am a Mexican food connoisseur, so I started... My first visit to El Azteca (founded in the 1960s, I believe) was 1985 when it was located south of BYU. It has since moved twice and is now operated by the very friendly son of the original owner. This is an exciting, family-owned restaurant that has a great variety of traditional favorites and new combinations. Always great, good quality,... More

When you walk in, the restaurant has fun, colorful décor. You pick up a menu and then order at the register. They have traditional Mexican food along with some unusual variations of traditional food. For instance, I ordered grilled salmon enchiladas. They were served on small bed of lime spinach. They were very tasty, and the presentation was very colorful.... More

I have been going to El Azteca for many decades, The current owner is the son of the founder of the restaurant from back in the 60's. This is a great place for Mexican food for both authentic and "gringoized" food. I really love the traditional fajitas with corn tortillas. The tortillas are home made and amazing. When I told... This place has pretty good Mexican food, but isn't anything spectacular or out-of-the-ordinary for Mexican cuisine. Their food doesn't have much flavor compared to other Mexican restaurants. They're also quite skimpy with their toppings and make you pay extra if you ask for more. However, their unique, homemade salsas are the best thing there and all taste amazing. I'd recommend...
