This "Sri Lankan" gem is on University street in Provo and is AMAZING. CEYLON is what Sri Lanka used to be called and it's an island off India. So it's very much like Indian food--mostly curries. We only shared a Malaysian Chicken Masala curry and an order of Paan (which was better than any I've ever had anywhere) it is... More

First time having Sri Lankan food at a restaurant .... loved it! Seems to be authentic & was definitely yummy! I had the Sri Lankan Village Style Curry lunch special ... great new curry for me! Not quite as awesome as Pakistani curry... but still awesome!

With much better menu choices and customer service than their neighbors just a block to the north, this is the by far the most original and most eclectic restaurant in Provo. The avocado milkshakes, aloe drinks, Singaporean spicy crab and the grilled shrimp are personal favorites. With a large group, the celebration feast platters are excellent. Great ambiance, very helpful... More

Having traveled to Singapore and Malaysia, this was a treat to get the flavors of those countries in Utah. This is a family run restaurant with authentic cuisine, with some of the heat removed. I remember the curries and chili sauces being hotter in country, but for the bland american taste buds this will be just right. Food portions are... More

We went on a Thursday evening and it was not very busy. There were 3 of us and we all thought the Mango chicken was the best thing we had. The service was very good. The only reason I'm not giving and excellent is that I felt like the food was not very fresh. Maybe because we didn't get there... More

I'm always up for trying new foods, so when my wife said she had been here and loved the food, we went. Amazing food! Like others have said before, Sri Lankan food is something everyone should try. We're heading down there in a few minutes to enjoy the food again. The staff here are so helpful and attentive. Have had... More

I have been to Singapore and loved it. We found The Banana Leaf the same. Don't try to compare this to Chinese or Japanese because it isn't. This is wonderful food from Singapore and SriLanka. They cut back a little on the hot chilies in deference to American taste buds but the rest is like an instant trip to Singapore... More

Had lunch at the Banana Leaf on Saturday. I can't remember when I've enjoyed a restaurant experience that much. The food was interesting and good. We ordered four entrees and had them family style. Everyone was unique and flavorful. The service was quirky. The server didn't understand all of our questions, but she got the chef from the back to... More

This is a way fun place to eat... The atmosphere is real fun. the food is very good and they wrap lots of the food in a banana leaf (crazy) I really like the mango drink! My wife loves the avocado drink! To me it sounded gross at first but it was delicious... The guy who served us was very... More

Have you ever had food from... Sri Lanka? Yea me neither. I went there with a group of co workers. I ordered something because the picture looked good. I am more of a burger and fries guy. I it was a shrimp soup with coconut. It was good. The lights were dimmed for some reason. So, my co worker turned... More
