Outstanding service by the staff - thoroughly explained the menu, made from scratch offerings, and did a nice job "selling" the specials. Since this was our first time here, the challenge was in choosing which meals to have. Our waiter was a pro - just the right level of personalized service / interaction. We will definitely be back for dinner!

I never spend the time to write reviews. But in the case of the Black Sheep Cafe, I'll make an exception. The food was fantastic. A great combination of unique flavors and quality ingredients. We had the Hogs Jowl Tacos, an off menu steak & mushroom fettuccini and bread pudding for dessert. Yes it's pricey. I was very impressed.

Popped into the Black Sheep Cafe after BYU VB Game. Friendly service and delicious food. Try the pork enchiladas or the bison burgers! They do have adult libations: beer, wine etc. Try the cheesecake for dessert! Great casual atmosphere.

The food was decent but extremely overpriced (20 bucks for a burger or 2 tacos!!). Come on! We wait one hou for 2 tacos and a burger??? The staff were kind, but for the most part never around (2+ hour dinner on a weekday). They do not have double doors, so each time a customer opened the doors we were... More

I visited Black Sheep Cafe on a cold rainy day. The large bowl of hot wild rice and mushroom soup saved me. The service was very friendly.

Great food, service. Authentic food, flatbread and bread for taco's is made fresh daily by owner. The french fries are so good also!

Once for lunch, twice for dinner, taking a friend for lunch tomorrow. Took foodie friends from the Bay Area for one of the dinners. One had the chile stew, the other an enchilada plate. They raved, begged the manager to open a Black Sheep in their area. For dinner (both times), I had the off-menu tenderloin of beef with black... More

I visited this restaurant on a quick lunch break with an associate from work. We both had heard about it from other colleagues, who recommended it. I've enjoyed traditional Navajo food prepared by Dine' friends, and this lunch meal was as tasty, but with a twist of contemporary presentation. Superb enchilada, and the accompaniments (salsa) were good, too! I would... More

Provo is not exactly a culinary mecca, so I did not have great expectations when I made my first visit to the Black Sheep Cafe. One is greeted by a unimaginative, hand-painted sign announcing that yes, this is the right place and then a disconcerting floor made of shellacked masonite panels, more appropriate to a cafeteria-style place--a very low-rent cafeteria-style... We love the way the Navajo food was prepared and presented. The enchiladas were the best I've eaten anywhere. The rice and the beans were cooked to perfection. The waiter was solicitous; yet, he gave a space to visit with a friend and to conduct a little business.
