I had googled places to eat in Provo - After a 10 hour drive we were hungry!! I saw the menu at the Black Sheep and it reminded me of home. American Indian Mexican Food. Mark, the owner and chef has a delicious menu!!

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness and quality of the food at Black Sheep Cafe. I had the Navajo Tea sweetened which was delicious and the stew was fantastic along with a side order of fry bread. My husband had a salad which he really enjoyed. I would recommend this place to anyone and I... More

I was not expecting to pay $19 for a burger that was mediocre at best. The Navajo taco was also disappointing. So small and the fry bread was soggy because of the amount of sauce on the meat. It was also $19 for bland miniature taco. Waitress was pleasant and the French fries were yummy. We won't ever return.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. I had some spicy fries as an appetizer, and a blue shrimp thing for dinner. It has such a nice blend of flavors. My husband had one of their specialties, which is the Navajo tacos. They were tasty. We also tried a cactus lemonade. That was good. The prices are pretty high, and... More

If you are ever forced to be in Provo, Utah, go to this restaurant! First, they have delicious cocktails, which you will need! Then order the hog jowl taco (pork in a maple/bay leaf bbq bath, with pickled jicama) and the filet mignon taco (perfection!). If you don't see those items aren't on the lunch menu, ask for them and... More

We had one of our best meals ever! The restaurant is very understated and small but the food and service is unbelievable. We had the hog jawl tacos, the buffalo nikles burger and the rib eye. Wow! We each passed around our plates and each of us oohed and ahhed. I would rate this as #1 but tomorrow we have... More

Stumbled across this delightful cafe. Delicious, delicious, delicious. Mexican with a Native American twist. Best Posole! Delightful staff. Good beer selection. This will be a priority the next time we are in Provo!!

I had heard great things about this place and they were all true... The food was phenomenal...and the service was just as good. This is a "must visit" if you are going to be near Provo.

Outstanding service by the staff - thoroughly explained the menu, made from scratch offerings, and did a nice job "selling" the specials. Since this was our first time here, the challenge was in choosing which meals to have. Our waiter was a pro - just the right level of personalized service / interaction. We will definitely be back for dinner!

I never spend the time to write reviews. But in the case of the Black Sheep Cafe, I'll make an exception. The food was fantastic. A great combination of unique flavors and quality ingredients. We had the Hogs Jowl Tacos, an off menu steak & mushroom fettuccini and bread pudding for dessert. Yes it's pricey. I was very impressed.
