We ended up here upon a recommendation from Communial and it was wonderful. The people are great and suggestive. We had the buffalo burger with bacon and a Cabernet reduction sauce. It was the best buffalo burger we've ever had. The rosemary frites were to die for. Simple wine list and a good one. We will be back for some... More

Everything is homemade so be prepared for a bit of the wait. I prefer to go for lunch as the burgers are amazing!! My husband is gluten free and he loves their burgers served with blue tortillas.

When looking for a place to eat in Utah - My wife and I usually like going to Park City / Deer Valley for excellent dining. I am not comparing Black Sheep to the restaurants in Deer Valley but for Utah County - The Black Sheep was a real treat. We have now been there twice - and we will... More

We tried a couple of their Navaho taco when we went. Perhaps things have changed in the last year, but each of them were quite salty, and the seasoning was a bit...boring, somehow. You couldn't call it bland, because it was so salty. We'll go back and try them again though, perhaps someone was on vacation that day. (Also, I... More

I was a little leery of being stuck in Provo for my fortieth. My mates found this place for me though. It serves wine and coffee so it's winning right out the gate for Provo. Add to this that the food is marvellous. And the bar dude does a mean cactus margarita. I had filet mignon. It came with real... More

I eat here all the time, and I can't say enough good things about it. The food is amazing. Everyone loves them for their Navajo tacos, but my personal favorite is the Goat Burger. I fantasize about this burger. They also have killer Posole. It's a little on the spendy side, but so worth it.

Loved the orange habanero creme brulee! Had the green chile Navajo taco. It had a good flavor, and it looked great. The service is a little slow because everything is prepared from scratch. The background music was at a decent decibel level so you could have a conversation. Glad we came early and had a reservation. The place fills up... More

I was really excited to try something new in Provo and I had read about this place and had heard some positive things. I have to say that our food was terrific. You can tell that they really care about good quality ingredients and they take pride in their dishes. Having said that, I was completely disappointed in how long... More

I liked everything about this restaurant including the service, the quality and variety of the food, the atmosphere, the location, and the value received. I'd go back whenever I'm in Provo.

I'm from the Northeast so I was entirely unfamiliar with Native American Southwestern food. Black Sheep is a good place to get started on this kind of cuisine. Everything is fresh and custom made for the customer. The dishes look like Mexican food, but they taste different. Different Chilies, and a smokey flavor tends to permeate many of the dishes....
