I had the hog jowls taco and it was great! My husband had the bison burger and loved it. I would definitely recommend this place and have.
We were in Provo for an athletic event at BYU and were looking for a casual place for lunch and found the Black Sheep Cafe. The food was delicious and very interesting; the decor is contemporary southwestern; the space is small and comfortable. I would definitely recommend reservations at dinner time. Our waiter was delightful and told us the cafe... More
My husband and I were looking for a good restaurant in Provo for a date night. My brother raved about The Black Sheep and so we made a reservation knowing we were going in with high expectations. We were seated promptly, having arrived a few minutes early for our 7:30 reservation time. We don't drink, but the non-alcoholic beverage options... More
This is a very small restaurant that normally requires reservations but we didn't know that. When we entered they explained that but said they would try to fit us in - which they did, to our delight! Our waitress was great - she made several suggestions which were absolutely delicious. We hope everyone who is in this area tries this... More
I was more than a little horrified at being turned away after driving an hour from park city to eat here. I have always loved the food, but I can't say I will be back, or recommending anyone to go here. The manager was sitting at a table, taking up space and kitchen capacity. We arrived at 7pm and the... Food was delicious. Wished I had room to have tried everything on menu. Excellent value for the price (went at lunch). I'm very picky about my chili verde. Theirs was very tasty, however, not very hot(spicy). The Orange creme brulee was fabulous (although couldn't find the habanero (Guess they are afraid patrons are afraid of "heat"). Would definitely return!
I drive from San Diego two Montana twice a year to ski. On trip up I stopped in Provo and drove around looking for a place to eat. I say Black Sheep, loved the irony of the name and noticed it was packed! So I went in and they found me a table after a short wait. The food was... More
This is our new favorite restaurant in Provo since our last favorite place closed down. Hope this place can keep it together because the food and service are both outstanding. The servers all know what is on the menu and can answer any questions you may have. The menu has been described as authentic Navajo, but I would describe it... More
In Provo for the day and chose the place at random...thought it looked interesting. I am very glad I did! Very eclectic, kindly funky place with wonderful food and very friendly staff. Southwestern/Navaho themed menu. The green chile stew was incredible and large enough to be your entire meal. Hog jowl tacos are a must! Lightly barbecued pork with jicama... More
This is a fairly new cafe in Provo that I hope stays a long time. It is eclectic and has an upscale feel without the upscale prices. The food is different - very interesting yet tasty and fun. I had a wonderful squash soup and amazing bread called nanniskadii. It takes longer to get your food because they make it... More
