Loved the orange habanero creme brulee! Had the green chile Navajo taco. It had a good flavor, and it looked great. The service is a little slow because everything is prepared from scratch. The background music was at a decent decibel level so you could have a conversation. Glad we came early and had a reservation. The place fills up... More

I was really excited to try something new in Provo and I had read about this place and had heard some positive things. I have to say that our food was terrific. You can tell that they really care about good quality ingredients and they take pride in their dishes. Having said that, I was completely disappointed in how long... More

I liked everything about this restaurant including the service, the quality and variety of the food, the atmosphere, the location, and the value received. I'd go back whenever I'm in Provo.

I'm from the Northeast so I was entirely unfamiliar with Native American Southwestern food. Black Sheep is a good place to get started on this kind of cuisine. Everything is fresh and custom made for the customer. The dishes look like Mexican food, but they taste different. Different Chilies, and a smokey flavor tends to permeate many of the dishes.... Small son and mother place with incredible food. Looks good, tastes incredible. The green chili frites were so good we are determined to try to make them at home. Only because we live so far away, or we would just go on back and order a double portion.

Hungry on our drive to Park City we took a detour into Provo and found The Black Sheep Cafe. It is a Native American restaurant and everything is prepared fresh. The menu includes new twists on old favorites like burgers and tacos but unlike any burgers or tacos you have ever eaten. My husband and I both had the pork... More

So we land in SLC... And are traveling south on 15. It's my birthday. The idea of having another pretentious meal in a land locked, not known for its cuisine, state is scary... So we start looking for cuisines that make sense. Bingo. Black Sheep. Navajo inspired food. Of course! The shrimp and blue corn grits, the grass fed beef,... More

We were in 15 different cities on a road trip across the Northern United States. No food in any other restaurant came close in taste and value. The wait staff was informed, friendly and eager to please. With the help they got from the chef, they couldn't help but succeed From appetizer to dessert the food was unique and delicious.

Unique menu of ,Native American food prepared by Native chef. Wonderful! The PorkGreen Chile Taco ($11) served on a luncheon plate sized Navajo fry bread is sublime, loaded with pork and with just the right amount of spice and heat. Orange habanero creme brûlée is silky and full of flavor with a crisp., browned crust. Delicious! Everything is a la... More
