Great food, service. Authentic food, flatbread and bread for taco's is made fresh daily by owner. The french fries are so good also!

Once for lunch, twice for dinner, taking a friend for lunch tomorrow. Took foodie friends from the Bay Area for one of the dinners. One had the chile stew, the other an enchilada plate. They raved, begged the manager to open a Black Sheep in their area. For dinner (both times), I had the off-menu tenderloin of beef with black... More

I visited this restaurant on a quick lunch break with an associate from work. We both had heard about it from other colleagues, who recommended it. I've enjoyed traditional Navajo food prepared by Dine' friends, and this lunch meal was as tasty, but with a twist of contemporary presentation. Superb enchilada, and the accompaniments (salsa) were good, too! I would... More

Provo is not exactly a culinary mecca, so I did not have great expectations when I made my first visit to the Black Sheep Cafe. One is greeted by a unimaginative, hand-painted sign announcing that yes, this is the right place and then a disconcerting floor made of shellacked masonite panels, more appropriate to a cafeteria-style place--a very low-rent cafeteria-style... We love the way the Navajo food was prepared and presented. The enchiladas were the best I've eaten anywhere. The rice and the beans were cooked to perfection. The waiter was solicitous; yet, he gave a space to visit with a friend and to conduct a little business.

We ended up here upon a recommendation from Communial and it was wonderful. The people are great and suggestive. We had the buffalo burger with bacon and a Cabernet reduction sauce. It was the best buffalo burger we've ever had. The rosemary frites were to die for. Simple wine list and a good one. We will be back for some... More

Everything is homemade so be prepared for a bit of the wait. I prefer to go for lunch as the burgers are amazing!! My husband is gluten free and he loves their burgers served with blue tortillas.

When looking for a place to eat in Utah - My wife and I usually like going to Park City / Deer Valley for excellent dining. I am not comparing Black Sheep to the restaurants in Deer Valley but for Utah County - The Black Sheep was a real treat. We have now been there twice - and we will... More

We tried a couple of their Navaho taco when we went. Perhaps things have changed in the last year, but each of them were quite salty, and the seasoning was a bit...boring, somehow. You couldn't call it bland, because it was so salty. We'll go back and try them again though, perhaps someone was on vacation that day. (Also, I... More

I was a little leery of being stuck in Provo for my fortieth. My mates found this place for me though. It serves wine and coffee so it's winning right out the gate for Provo. Add to this that the food is marvellous. And the bar dude does a mean cactus margarita. I had filet mignon. It came with real... More
