perfect in every way

The sweet corn pasta was sooo good. Sugar snap peas with mushrooms was perfectly seasoned and perfect for two to share. The watermelon and heirloom salad was so good it could have been dessert. The restaurant is tiny with a huge heart, friendly staff and comfortable.

I loved the communal! We had the Spinach Salad for a starter, the Sweet Corn Linguini for our main, and Chocolate Olive Oil cake for our dessert. We also drank the housemade ginger ale and blueberry lime rickey. A way to my heart is using the words "local ingredients" and Communal did just that. The waitress (who was fabulous, by... More

Although the food is fantastic and the menu items are eclectic, I would not repeatedly come here again. You pay a high premium for what you are served, and I can't figure out exactly why--I have seen similar restaurants charge 10-15% less than Communal does.

A very nice and classy place. Provo's high end dining in a nice environment on the main street. The menu is designed to share with the table. The tilapia and mashed potatoes were great. A little expensive but a good high end option in Provo.

We have been looking at this place for awhile. We decided to go for our anniversary last Thursday. We were running late so they moved our reservation back for which was very good service. The waitress was very nice and knew the menu well. My wife and I split a meal. We ordered a starter of deli meats some cheese... More

We had read this is a top-rated eatery in Provo and we're not disappointed with the light, healthy lunch fare on offer. The kale/farro salad had a nutty slight sweetness that worked well w/ the rugged kale. The spinach salad was loaded with crispy walnuts & creamy chunks of Housa cheese, set off by a creamy lemony vinaigrette. Our server... More

Let's say you find yourself in Provo, Utah; you're hankering for a nosh; and you're hoping to imbue the feedbag with some frisson. Once you strip out the strip mall joints ~ the sad little SushiMarts ~ the out & out In-and-Outs ~ the over-salted, over-priced, old school, white tablecloth pretenders ~ well, at that point you don't need a... I don't even know where to start. The server was attentive and efficient, form there this experience slid down hill like an avalanche. The $13.5 dollar Bacon Blue Cheese Burger was comparable in taste to a place with yellow arches. The garlic sauce was anemic and so thin it ran off my burger onto my plate, the fries were cold... Brian, I don't know what else to say other than we are sorry we didn't exceed your expectations. We pride ourselves on hitting it out of the park but from your experience we obviously missed. For a restaurant that charges so much, the service needs to step it up a little. Our waiter was nice, but not up to par. We had a spinach salad which was ok. The tilapia with golden raisin pesto was fantastic as well as the potato and kale gratin. The asparagus was also really good. Even though we were stuffed,... More
