I loved the 30 minute sleigh ride - definitely do this and don't sit in the warmed cab! The food was creative and delicious, the company was wonderful and the overall setting was very romantic. If I'm ever back in Park City, Utah, I would certainly go again.

We stopped in while skiing for a cocktail and sat outside enjoying a fabulous day on the slopes! Great beer choices and very friendly service! We would love to do dinner here sometime when we return,,,, I'm sure it would be fabulous!

Every year when we go out west for a ski trip, we always plan a cozy sleigh ride up a mountain for dinner just for the experience of being out on the mountains at night when the stars are bright. This was our first time in Park City and we weren't sure what to expect with the Viking Yurt. I... More

First we want to compliment the Viking Yurt owners for creating such a helpful Web site.  Immediately after making our resevation we recieved a very detailed comfirmation .We knew exactly where to meet, map and directions included.  We wore layers, hat and cloves  as suggested in the letter and were as cozy as children at bedtime under the warm blankets tucked... Upon our arrival our group of 13 found no signs to direct us to the meeting location. We proceeded through mounds of slush to the sleigh and were then directed inside to sign waivers. Again we traversed through the slush. At the meeting site we were greeted by the owner who immediately chastised us for being too late to sign... More

Here are the facts; there are no negative surprises at the yurt. You have to agree to our cancelation policy twice before you can get a booking confirmed. Upon booking you receive a very detailed confirmation letter with perfect directions on how to find the meeting room and how to dress. If a concierge or the person that books the... More

We stopped for a quick bite and found tasty sandwiches and hot cider. Grill Chicken, marinated and topped with Brie, lettuce, red peppers on sourdough bread was light and satisfying. The peanut butter cookie was rich and not too sweet.

One would think that this would be a really touristy evening, guess again. It was a hoot, food was excellent and they really pay attention to dietary needs (let them know when you make your reservation). Unless you are a party of 10, you will share a table - be aware that if your table mates are boring, it will... More

We've been before and were excited to take friends that hadn't. Had a stormy night so our friends that had never seen snow were even more "blown" away. We snuggled under the blankets and sat back to enjoy the views as this huge machine pulls you to the top of a mountain. If you want to experience something totally unique,... More

The ride up is worth the price of admission IF it's not too cold or too icy. We have visited the Yurt two times. Just remember that your experience is directly related to the weather and the staff's ability to get you (and the food and drink!) up the mountain. Your dinner mates will also impact your visit -- as... More

We enjoyed the sleigh ride up pulled by a snowcat, but glad I dressed with all my snow gear as it was snowing hard. The yurt was warm and cozy. They sat us with two other friendly and interesting couples. The food was excellent. The only thing that could improve would be to have a paired adult beverage for each... More
