Great experience, at a price

We must go hear every time we go to Salt Lake for skiing. Great food cooked on huge fireplaces, especially love the raclette and the fondue. Yes it's a little pricey, going up faster than inflation every year, but it's still a must do. Vegetarian options could be better, and make sure you make... read more

I took part in a private group dinner here as part of a business conference at the hotel next door (Montage Deer Valley). The cocktail hour was good (it would've been super had there been more than 3 finger food choices), and the dinner was the highlight as there were 3 different hot food stations (buffet table, a small pan... We weren't quite sure what to expect as we had eaten here for lunch most days - a crowded self service cafeteria but there was no sign of a fine restaurant. By night this is transformed into a restaurant, with blazing fires; fewer tables and good food cooked and/or warmed and then served by the fires. It is sort of... More

My boyfriend and I had been looking forward to going to Fireside all ski season. The very last night we had an opportunity to go, I was feeling very ill. I hoped I could buckle down and enjoy it anyways. My boyfriend mentioned in passing that I wasn't feeling my best as we were being seated. Within moments the restaurant... More

We're frequent visitors to Deer Valley, and have now experienced Fireside Dining at Empire Lodge several times. It's really a fun thing to do, whether you are an extended family or a group of couples. If you ski Deer Valley during the day of your dinner, you will even see the staff hanging huge legs of lamb on strings at... More

Very unique dining experience with lots of variety. Food was very flavorful, but may not suit those who do not have adventurous palates. My kids ate nothing...but we were able to ask for chicken tenders, so maybe not the best value if you have finicky kids.

We wouldn't have come if it wasn't for a family recommendation - the reviews and images don't do it justice. We had such a great time - the service was impeccable (I think our servers name was Charles Miller - he was a champion!). The cheese was incredible - I asked for a small serving which was a mistake, I... More

We dined at Fireside Dining on the evening of Valentine's Day this year. It's difficult to get a feel for most restaurants on Valentine's Day, as they do a special menu so you can't tell what their normal cooking tastes like. Fireside Dining was an exception. This is a terrific restaurant for large parties with a variety of tastes. The... More

We visited deer valley to ski at the start of the 2014-15 ski season. We happened to see signs for Fireside Dining opening, on the day of our arrival at Deer Valley. So after a full day of skiing, we asked for directions to this restaurant, from the concierge of the St Regis Hotel where we were staying. We arrived... More

Switzerland's Raclette is famous over there. Nice place, with fireplaces all over the halls and a variety of food. I recommend it, as a good one.
