Just called to make a reservation during xmas week, was told every night was booked, but to call back during 9 - 5 ( it was 8 when I called). The gentleman didn't think they could do any better, but to call during the day anyway because they could spend more time explaining to me there were no reservations available!... More

A wonderful mountain dining experience. Alpine food served out of 4 large wood burning fireplaces, beautiful snow covered mountains, horse drawn sleighs--what's not to love!!

Probably the number one dining experience my wife and I have ever encountered. If you stop by this lodge while skiing during the day you will be unimpressed. But at night it turns into an elegant white table restaurant. Help yourself to 4 courses all cooked in different fireplaces. Salad table, soup table and dessert. Gorgeous views of the canyon.... Even though it was the end if the season we did another yearly trip to Empire. We had a few non skiers with us so it was nice for them to se the view, runs and lodge. Food is consistently fresh and the menu changes nightly. Pork cheeks were excellent , and the lamb leg cooked in the hearth was... More

Have never had a dining experience quite like this. "Stations", but not in the blah buffet kind of way. Amazing cheese. Fantastic stews. Fondue awesome. Definitely pricey.

Our party of 10 loved this experience - kids and adults alike. Yes, it is expensive, but everything in Deer Valley is ridiculously priced! The dessert table is shameless and we ate more than our weight in chocolate fondue. We especially loved the melting cheese - my young son had 3 plates of this. The salads were fresh and the... More

We have been going to Fireside Dining for years. We have taken friends and family. We have gone in large groups. It is a wonderful Swiss-like experience with raclette over a roaring fire. The stews, lamb and fish entrees are fabulous. Adults and children alike love the atmosphere. You can take the kids on a sleigh ride. My husband did... More

We have experienced Fireside Dining at Empire Lodge for years now and despite the regularly climbing prices, we have continued to return. Yes, the food is quite good, but it doesn't vary much year after year. Much is the same-from the rosti potatoes to the stews to the carving station (lamb-roast-ham). After several years it does become "been there, done... More
