Let me preface this by saying that the night we went there for dinner nothing else was open...The place was just overwhelmed which I think caused our problem: We got the last table in the place and had to borrow chairs from other tables. The lone waitress (a young woman wearing a Panguitch High cheerleader's sweat shirt) took our order... More

Stumbled upon this delightful cafe because town was closed up on this Sunday . Our portobello sandwich came on home baked bread and was yummy! The fruit side was fresh, and the cheesy potatoes very good. We were given a scoop of ice cream which is made on premises. The non dairy ice cream is made with coconut oil and... More

We stopped at Scoops having been told they serve food, not just ice cream. There are tables both inside and out, but the bussing of tables is neglected. We sat inside where there were 8 tables. Menu listed both sandwiches, which came with your choice of many different sides, and also dinners, all reasonably priced. We ordered bbq brisket sandwich... More

Had heard about the Cowboy Smokehouse, but found it closed when we got into town. Like another reviewer, my wife and I walked across the street to Scoops. Sat outside on a pleasant evening and enjoyed a great meal of creamy Italian soup followed by the steak special. Soup was fantastic, steak was tender and juicy. My wife had a... More

Everything was delicious: The ice cream to the scrambled eggs and waffles. We ate here several times.

This was about the only place in town open on a Sunday. However the food was just what we wanted and excelent. There was even a free scoop of ice cream to finish off. They were a bit rushed off their feet so service was a bit slow. The staff were very pleasant and apologetic but we are on holiday... More

We love Scoops From the Past -- aka the GEM Diner. The soups are delicious, as are the sandwiches, which are served on homemade bread. My favorites are the meatloaf sandwich, the French dip, and the Gem Burger -- all are great. And I can't say enough good things about the soup -- I haven't had one that I didn't... More

Scoops from the Past inside the Gem Theatre in downtown Panguitch is now also known as the Gem Diner. Calling the food diner food is not fair to the food or the skilled chef preparing the offerings. I had the most amazing pasta dish that could have been served in a fine dinning establishment. For a price that was cheap... More

We had a very good ice cream here but it was not the best ever. We did not try the rest of the menue since this is a tipical ice cream shop. Nice 50's decoration. There are a lot of different flavours and the price is not expensive.

We arrived late and everything else in Panguitch was closed but this cute ice cream place. We had a milkshake and a tour upstairs where there's a little museum and a cinema. Both great! If you are visiting town, don't miss it!
