Great meal, but a bit pricey

Family run steak restaurant, but non-meat dishes available as well. Meal prices were a bit high (ranging from $16 - $30) for the type of food served. But, this is probably due to seasonal business volume.

Panguitch is the place I say when visiting Bryce Canyon. It has a nice small town atmosphere, simple motels and great people. You can drive to Bryce in 20 min and you avoid a crowded touristic trap with crowded, uncomfortable and expensive hotels and restaurants, mostly owned by the same people. Cowboy's Smoke House is the best place to eat... More

You see tons of restaurants in big cities trying to create that rustic, small town restaurant feel that you know will offer great simple fare at a reasonable price. This place is the template for the copy cats. Food is AMAZING. Service supper friendly. Ribeye and the ribs were too good to put into words.

If you're reading this you're in the unenviable position of looking for a place to eat in Panguitch, UT (good luck if it's Sunday). We entered the restaurant and made eye contact with what I assume were the owners not sure whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. They looked annoyed we were there. After our staring contest... More

Portions are huge. Consider sharing, like the BBQ salad. The food is good. Not so sure why I'd ordered a BBQ salad. Pretty good food, but would need another sample. and since I won't be back to Panguitch, it's OK.

Had a great Dinner here. We ate around 5 pm, then walked across the street to the Gem Theater. Make sure to eat here early as there was a line for the Cowboys Smoke House when we walked out of the show around 8:20 pm

Had there chicken barbecue. My husband's chicken wasn't cooked. The sides, green beans ,were served cold, yam, baked potatoes were okay. Cornbread was delicious. We thought it was pricey for the portions and quality of food. Not very many choices for dinner in the small town.

Had to check it was open by peering in the windows as it looked closed. All well & thriving. NOT OPEN A SUNDAY. Served quickly & efficiently by lovely Becky. Mesquite chicken salad was very tasty & succulent and large. Husband loved his smoked ribs too. Shame its cash only - we would've stayed for more beers if we had... More

Over priced for the quality of food. I guess when you are mostly the only place in town you can serve mediocre food at an inflated price.

This the go to place if your spending the night in Panguitch, UT The special is BBQ pork ribs, beef brisket, and chicken. They have good cold slaw to go with it also nice rolls. The BBQ is a dry rub with good bark and the mop sauce provided is a bit vinegary but still tasty. The cobbler was great... More
