Break the chains

A great reason to avoid the chain restaurants . Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, creative menu and good food. Love the blue cheese steak and make sure you save room for the dessert peaches, absolutely love them and get them every time we go. We dine here 2 or 3 times a year and never have been... read more

We are eaters. All of us. The human race has few activities more frequent than eating. The acclaimed philosopher Voltaire exclaimed that "nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity." Yet we eat every day, often without taking the time to enjoy the process. Days become... More

My wife decided eat here based on the comments we've heard from some friends. We loved it! It feels a lot nicer than the other restaurants in downtown Ogden. The food was excellent. The prime rib was the best I've ever had. The chocolate torte is like nothing i've ever had. This place is nice enough that a date night... More

We originally went there with friends for a large group event. With all those people, the service and the food was perfect. Everything was hot and tasted wonderful. We have been back there many times and it just keeps getting better. The one comment I must make is about the manager (Angelica (I hope)). WOW.... was she great. She stayed... More

Over the years we've enjoyed this spot but this weekend was a different tune. Not having been here for a year plus, I thought I'd take my daughter their for date night. She's 12 and is starting to become a foodie :) Her words were, "this is fine dining". Although the experience and comment was enduring - the food and... More

We ate at Bistro 258 early mid-week. We sat in the back of the restaurant, coming in from the hotel side - and that is the place to sit. They have enclosed the back of the building in glass - it has a light airy garden feel to the room. I had the Santa Fe Carbonara and my friend had... More

Very good food. The chef is very creative and uses interesting flavor fusions. Never had a poor meal there. Atmosphere is relaxed without feeling like a fast food restaurant. Service has been fantastic every time we've been.

This restaurant is located close to many hotels. The food was very good and the selection was excellent. It's very family friendly and the wait staff was prompt, courteous, and friendly. Of all the meals we had in Ogden, this one was one of the best.

This restaurant would have a 5 star review if their service wasn't so slow. During our trip we went there twice because of the rice bowls they served. The first time we were there, they forgot to give us menus. Honest mistake, but the second time it happened again! And for some reason, maybe they are short staff, but gosh... More

I have enjoyed Steak here as well as the Pasta. I'm certain there is a real chef on the premises because of the way the dishes come out of the kitchen. I've had new and creative dishes that I haven't seen anywhere else. They are not only creative, but they are tasty. I highly recommend.
