I can be really particular when it comes to food. I've tasted a lot of amazing things in my life and when I eat out and pay for a meal, I expect it to measure up. Overall, I found the food at Bistro 258 quite delectable. The service was great (granted, we weren't in there at a busy time of... More

I've been to Bistro 258 many times for both lunch and dinner. Overall, lunch seems to be a better experience, especially sitting out back in nice weather. The back room is great, with high ceilings and huge windows. Good specials and good service. Occasionally it takes a little while for food to arrive. Only one less-than-positive experience in the 15ish... More

What a pleasant find. This restaurant is definitely not a chain restaurant. I was given the recommendation from the folks at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ogden, UT and they knew what they were talking about. My service was extraordinary and the food divine. The Coconut Macadamia Halibut was recommended by the person at the hotel, and again, it was... More

The entire meal was fantasic! We had great wine, awesome entrees (I had the orange chili chicken and cleaned my entire plate!), even the spinach salads that came with our meals were a welcome surprise. My husband is vegetarian and was told he could make a tofu substitution for any of the meat in the pasta dishes; he did the... More

I was so happy we choose this restaurant when going to a Sundance Event at the very nearby and walkable Perry's Egyptian Theater. There were several items I wanted to order--a rarity for me--but mostly I just enjoyed being in an open uncrowded space instead of the typically dark windowless restaurant space. Ask for sure to sit in the back... More

After arriving to our hotel @ The Hilton Garden Inn on the second day after skiing we wanted a good place to have a nice dinner with some wine. 5-10 minute walk from the hotel and was glad we found this restaurant. Our host/server Cecily was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant and hope to visit again soon before ski... More

Had a great (and reasonably priced) meal in this restaurant. Two of us tried the pasta dishes, one had a fish that was cooked in a coconut milk sauce. All delicious!

We were there the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and were the ONLY patrons. between the six of us we had some winners and losers. The pasta with gorgonzola cream sauce was amazing and the Fuzzy Peach dessert disappeared quickly. Steaks were a mixed bag. One persons was perfect, the other, tough. Cute little place and I'll bet it normally does good... More

I really enjoyed my experience flood was very well prepared, and the service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is current, and classy lacking the "cheese" that you find at most restaurants in the area, give it a try!

I've now eaten at Bistro 258 on two occasions and had the New York steak both times. The first one was so good, I had to do it again. All I can say is that on both occasions, I thought it was one of the best steaks I'd ever eaten. My companions had other dishes and on both occasions were... More
