At the junction in Mt Carmel is the Thunderbird Restaurant and you pass it on the way to Zion National park or going to Bryce National park and make the stop. They seem more like an old diner to me where they specialize in great old fashion pies and meals like Grilled Liver what was very good by the way... More

Wes stopped in for some Pie and ice cream. It was very good and the service was excellent. Would defiantly like to stop there again for an entire meal. The place was quite busy for the mid day during the very late season.

The Thunderbird Cafe is nearly the only place to eat in Mt Carmel. It is certainly the largest, nicest and is attached to the gas station and gift store. In fact the Thunderbird/Best Western complex seems to the the majority of the town. I had an excellent trout almondine with garlic mashed potatoes for dinner and apple pie with butter... More

As in "Wow!, what a crappy southwestern salad!". My wife DID tell me not to order a southwestern salad in a non-southwestern state, but did I listen? do I ever ask for directions? don't be silly. The salad was prepared by a cook whose only proximity to the real thing must have been a list of the ingredients; yes, the... More

My riding partner and I stopped for lunch today at the Thunderbird, our waitress (Chelsea?) was on the ball, she suggested the turkey so we both ordered the open face turkey sandwich, which came on homemade bread/toast with mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetable, it was excellent. For desert I had the coconut cream pie and my friend had the strawberry... More

This was a cute, local flair restaurant, the breakfast was delicous, always ready with a pitcher of water. The decor was western themed. The food always arrived in a timely manner, the staff was courteous, food was good.

There were 14 of us in a group who stayed at the Best Western in Mt. Carmel, Utah, last Sunday night. We had travelled most of the day, and planned on dinner at the motel. There were not many people at tables when we went in, so there was no reason for the poor service we received. When a waiter... More

This was a quick stop for us on a drive between the Grand Canyon and Moab. Hot food, decent prices, good service. On our way out a tour bus stopped and we were glad we arrived when we did!

I would love to review this place based on eating here but we never got the chance. We arrived hungry after a day in Zion NP. There was a couple followed by a group of about 6 ahead of us waiting for the hostess. When we got to the counter the couple in front had gone to sit on a... More

Stopped at this little spot on way from Zion to Bryce for lunch. It was a lot nicer on the inside than it looks from the outside. It was clean and nice looking. 15 minutes after i came in a huge tour bus came thru with about 40 people so i got my order in just in time. I had... More
