The cucumbers in the salad bar where yellow. The chicken gumbo did not have chicken or rice. The roast beef dinner was straight from the grocery deli and kids meals are overpriced. Waitress was nice, other than that, we will not be stopping here again. fyi everything was overpriced.

Who would expect much from a restaurant linked with a gas station? But they have been there since 1931, and run a great restaurant. Side salads and soups are self serve from a full salad bar!!!! So not just a bowl of lettuce! Meals are good, but ask your server which ones are home made and which are from "restaurant... More

Good food, excellent waitress. Ate there around 10 in the morning and although they were busy, service was fairly quick. Food was delivered hot and as ordered.

The food was fine. Good, yummy, filling, etc. Waiter was attentive. No complaints. The real review is about pie. Chocolate pie, to be exact. My daughters are allergic to nuts and can NEVER have desert in public - NEVER. But, at the Thunderbird, they make all their pies from scratch. They are truly ho-made, not produced in some factory where... More

To get everyone's obvious question answered first, their pies rival any selection I've ever at Junior's in NYC. I ordered the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. Heavenly! My wife opted for the Apple Pie With Hot Rum Sauce. She loved it. Oh yes, we both took ours a la mode - a must in order to "complete" the experience! The food was... More

At the end of our week in Utah, we had logged 700 miles of National Park roads on motorcycles. Zion was our last stop, and on our way back to Cedar City we stopped here for lunch. What a nice surprise. Beautiful, historic property (the entertaining story behind "Ho-made pies" is on each placemat thankfully), and excellent food/drink/service. We were... More

I always stay at the best western east zion thunderbird in when visiting this part of Utah national parks. The resteraunt is a must eat at in this little town. Ed is the most friendly guy you willed ever meet. He runs the resteraunt and will be the best atv guide around.....but I digress...back to the food. Its Great. So... More

We stop here for lunch . We where seated and given water and they took our order . And that was the last we saw of anybody for a long time .After about 15 minutes later a large group from a bus came in . Then in about 15 minutes more we were told they where going to serve them... More

Have to say we were a bit dubious about this place from the outside, but it turned out to be just fine and our waiter was great. It has a fairly standard menu (we just had burgers) and the food was fine. Not exactly a foodie's dream, but solid and reliable.

Spent 8 days in Southern Utah and ate here twice. Each time had the Reuben sandwich with marble bread. Cornbeef tender and flavorful. The best part was the home made pies. The crust was so flaky and tasty. We are home in SD and missing that Thunderberry Pie.
