The story is inspiring, pie is delicious, staff is polite, salad bar and lunch is average. A good stop before hiking at Zion, but expected a bit more.

I stopped here one night for dinner. The waitress was attentive and quick with my drink & dinner. I ordered the taco salad, thinking it was to come in a tortilla bowl but it was mostly chili and cheese on top of a flat fried tortilla. It was good but not great; a bit mushy for my taste. The story... More

On our way back to our accommodations after a 7 mile hike in Bryce, this place was just the ticket. My hubby had a cup of tasty chili and we split a good burger, had a beer and saved room for chocolate pie. Server was sweet and attentive. Price was fair and we enjoyed reading the history of the place.

The food and drinks are good but I wasn't thrilled by the looks and feeling in this restaurant. The people who work here are fast and correct, but with little emotion. Though a great place just for eating.

Stopped here after a long day in Zion and on our way to Kanab. Found the menu to be fairly standard. The food was good and portions were large. We all had a good meal and decided on some if their Thunder Berry Pie ( with ice cream). Four of us split this and there was plenty for all of... More

Great little diner. Wonderful wait staff. One of our party had a delicious steak dinner. Nice size portions. Best part of dining at the Thunderbird is their Ho-Made pies. The thunder berry pie with vanilla ice cream is to die for!

The staff at Thunderbird were nice, which is why I feel a little guilty writing this. But they did not have a good handle on professional service. When we showed up they told us it would be a 15 minute wait, even though there were 4 empty tables for every one full. No worries - maybe they didn't have enough... More

The hamburgers were good. The french fries were good, but the four of us decided to split a couple of slices of pie. Yep! Now we know why they're famous for their Ho made pie.

Obviously, their "ho-made pies" sign is part of the draw. We usually don't have dessert at restaurants, so to insure that we could have some pie here, the husband and I split a chicken salad sandwich. The sandwich was very good. But really, it was all about dessert. I had the hot apple pie with a warm caramel bourbon sauce... More

Thunderbird has a solid, all-American, big breakfast for the hungry. While it is on the high end of pricing, it was well-prepared and there was lots of it. Great coffee, friendly and attentive staff. I didn't need to eat again until evening after a day of vigorous hiking. I recommend it for the ravenous.
