Excellent food and service, but expect to pay a premium

We ate dinner here on the last two nights of 2015, and breakfast on the first day of 2016. As other reviews have pointed out, this is the only game in town if you are staying at Zion Mountain Ranch other than heating microwave meals in your cabin or breaking out the camp stove on the porch. The... read more

By far one of the freshest, tastiest, most flavorful breakfast we have ever had. We had the buffalo skillet and it was amazing!!! We were able to walk the grounds and pet the goats and steer! It was a lovely lovely experience! Wonderful staff-- super service and I would highly recommend stopping here!!!

Around lunch time, we were passing through on our way to Zion and saw the field of buffalo, so we stopped to snap a few photos. Then we realized that the little establishment there was a grill, so we took a chance on it. Being a little remote, we weren't sure what to expect. The rustic decor and dim Edison... More

Located with Zion ranch, just outside eastern Zion national park, the decor is rustic ranch house. You can watch the bison grazing in the meadows just outside the dinning room windows. Although very pricey, $60 for bison ribeye. 40 for bacon wrapped tenderloin, but it's not every day you get to indulge in farm raised free range bison steak, and... More

My husband and I stopped at the Buffalo Grill after a day of hiking at Zion. Loved the atmosphere! Beautiful sunset view while dining on the patio. The waitress was friendly. The food was delicious! The menu items were a little higher than we expected, but what the heck- we were on vacation! Generous portion size. Very enjoyable meal to... More

My chicken with their local garden herbs was excellent and the accompanying risotto was amazing. My husband ordered the very large burger and enjoyed the beef. This restaurant is the only one around so they can charge a bit more for their entrees, and their wine has a substantial markup. Even if you're not staying at Zion Mtn. Ranch stop... More

This is the only eating option if you are staying at the ranch and very good it is too! They serve up a mean breakfast and the dinner options are varied and equally good. I think that pretty much all of the ingredients are locally produced and it tells in the taste. Good variety of draft beers and a real... More

We stayed at Zion Mountain Ranch for two nights while visiting Zion National park. The accommodations were very nice, but we especially enjoyed eating two dinners at the Buffalo Grill. The service and food was excellent, the view spectacular–eating dinner with bison is very unusual; the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the absence of the snooty,... We ate here as there was nowhere else out here. The food was good, we paid $28 for a chicken dish, the trout was$ 22 and the steak was $ 45 and $ 60 for the buffalo steak. It is not cheap so if you don't want to pay these prices it might be an idea to bring microwave meals. We... More

I am always looking for the best value. This place was a little pricey but worth every penny. Both my husband and I ordered the buffalo tenderloins and they were fantastic even at $45. The waitress recommended their house salad with arugula and a lemon sweet and sour dressing that was out of this world. Rustic, casual and friendly atmosphere... More
