Navaho Chicken soup dish was under seasoned if seasoned at all, chicken was dried out in a clear broth with potatoes. Terrible. Menu selection isn't great. Salad bar is expensive and no discount to add to your children's meals. There weren't many people in there and yet they sat us farther from the huge windows which overlook the valley although... The cuisine at The View Restaurant is mix of American, Mexican and Navajo preparations. Our menu choices included chips and salsa, buffalo wings, Navajo taco sampler and a cheese quesadilla. All except the quesadilla were disappointing. My overall rating of this restaurant is "average" (generous) and the food is something less than that, depending upon what you select. The wonderful... In an earlier review from 2013 I have criticized The View Restaurant for not allowing customers to use the tables on the large terrace outside. If you want food you must sit inside. The view is still great, but sitting inside does not compare with being under the open sky. When in July 2014 I had the opportunity to visit... More

The food is typical American, with some Mexican, and some with Navajo influence. While the food is adequate, the view is fantastic. If you're looking for an adult beverage, you won't find one on the Navajo reservation so you'd better bring it with you and keep it in your hotel room.

We stayed in the hotel and since there is nothing else around we had dinner at the restaurant, which was totally disappointing. The service was friendly, but did not really seem to know what they were doing. The soup we could pick up at the salad bar as a starter tasted like an instant soup. Unfortunately they didn't provide spoons... More

Great views and a chance to try some navajo food among other selections. There really aren't many restaurants in this area, but this one sure will satisfy.

The food was good, but did not match the pricing. We considered pre-made sandwiches from the cooler out front at first, but were just a bit hungrier than that. OK overall, but you are paying for the view as much as the food. For a one-time visit, not bad at all.

We ate here for breakfast and dinner. The food was not good and neither was the service. Our dinner took forever to arrive and was cold and bland when it arrived. Breakfast was standard breakfast fare but also took forever.

We had grilled cheese sandwiches. They cost $9!! Service was good. Atmosphere fine. View was gorgeous. There aren't really many other choices around since it's in the middle of nowhere.

I was pleasantly surprised having read negative reviews. The menu was limited -split between Navajo and more "popular" fare. The portions were good to huge and prices were reasonable. the only criticism was that the service was too fast - the main courses arrived before we had finished ther starters on all three times we ate there - unnecessary as...
