Small town restaurant

Wagon Wheel offered a good variety of pizza made to order. If your expecting a $5.00 pizza made 3 hours before and kept warm, this is not your place. The dough is made fresh daily. The workers were friendly. In the winter months they offer good soups as well. They have other items I've tried... read more

Walking in, I caught the scents and sounds of my first job at a pizza place back in the 80's. The place was staffed by local teens, and the pizza very good. Like others have posted, it doesn't look like much from outside, but it's a good place to get dinner.

Not a bad little restaurant. Took a long time to get the pizza, but it wasn't bad for a small town. Worth checking out if passing through.

We stayed in Monticello overnight and checked out all the restaurants before deciding to get a takeaway pizza here. The pizza was made to order using dough prepared by the young employees and it was very tasty. As we were walk-ins, we had to wait about 20 minutes but the staff brought us water and there were papers to read.

Doesn't look much from the outside. Got a to go pizza. It was really tasty and good value. Would eat there again.

Great prices. Pizza was good. Teens working behind the counter were another thing. Service was ok, but they were more interested in visiting with their friends.

My pizza was really good, too bad it wasn't what I ordered. I was there on a pretty slow night. I was the only one ordering and there were at least 4 employees on staff. I gave my order to a young man, he wrote down exactly what I asked for, he went directly to make it, and completely ignored... More

We ate at a Wagon Wheel pizza recently. It's location is good. I enjoyed the food and although it is not New York style pizza, it is what I expected and it tasted good. The service was slow. After ordering it took about 45 minutes. The furnishings are old and not that great. There were three kids running the place.... More

Since this is the only place for good pizza, I don't want to completely dis it. However, we ordered a large Hawaiian without olives and a couple of extras but got the regular Hawaiian. The person taking the order even repeated the order and still had it wrong. We ate it, and it was good, but how hard is it... More

Yum, this hit the spot as we had been traveling all day. Our only mistake here is that we ordered a medium.... we should have ordered the large. It's good enough to order a size up. Great, friendly service - very sweet gals making the pizzas & running the counter. Overall very solid pizza in Monticello!!
