great western atmosphere and foo was very good

The hotel we stayed at recommended the Line Camp for dinner. We went with some skepticism but ended up really enjoying our meal and with a nice bottle of wine too!

Our hotel recommended this place and we were very pleased. The service was friendly and very good. The decor was wonderful, and the food great.

We used to love this place and went every week one summer. We have the menu memorized, but have needed neither memory nor menu as we prefer it when Bob is cooking. How does one know before driving 7-8 miles to find out? Or if they're even open on a specific evening - we've driven all the way out there... More

What you are really paying for is the ambiance of the restuarant. The food was very good just extremely expensive. It was on par with a applebees just twice the cost.

This is suppose to be a fine dinning restaurant, but it's far from it except for the outrages prices. $30 for a 12oz steak and sides that taste reheated and old. The atmosphere is really old fashioned and needs to be updated. This may be considered fine dining if I was a cowboy on the range for the last 20... More

Line Camp is located about 7 miles north of Monticello. My only regret about the place is we didn't stay in one of their rooms! The steaks were good enough, however, that went ate there two nights. The service was superb, the owner, Bob, is a one-of-a-kind, no-nonsense guy, the setting is comfortable, and our meals were perfect. While you... More

I went there and was completely taken aback by the prices, $30.00 for a steak dinner + a lemonade($3.00)!! Then after a few hours it all started gurgling back at me. I spent the whole night on the toilet with diarrhea and vomiting. But on the plus side - - the girls who were working that evening were awfully CUTE!!

I agree with the "Worst" review above. I was there when Bob kicked out the couple who complained about the quality of their meals. It's a terrible dining experience when you see the owner throw a credit card back at the diners and tell them to "get out". Ruined my whole evening. My poached salmon was tough and dry as... More
