Better when Bob is cooking!

We used to love this place and went every week one summer. We have the menu memorized, but have needed neither memory nor menu as we prefer it when Bob is cooking. How does one know before driving 7-8 miles to find out? Or if they're even open on a specific evening - we've driven all the way out... read more

What you are really paying for is the ambiance of the restuarant. The food was very good just extremely expensive. It was on par with a applebees just twice the cost.

This is suppose to be a fine dinning restaurant, but it's far from it except for the outrages prices. $30 for a 12oz steak and sides that taste reheated and old. The atmosphere is really old fashioned and needs to be updated. This may be considered fine dining if I was a cowboy on the range for the last 20... More

Line Camp is located about 7 miles north of Monticello. My only regret about the place is we didn't stay in one of their rooms! The steaks were good enough, however, that went ate there two nights. The service was superb, the owner, Bob, is a one-of-a-kind, no-nonsense guy, the setting is comfortable, and our meals were perfect. While you... More

This is a restaurant which has the look and the environment to have it all!! But ... Based on the Tripadvisor reviews I decided to visit Line Camp Steakhouse. When I arrived I was impressed. What a great place ... how original. I was welcomed at the greatest level!! I started to take a lot of pictures of this great... More

I went there and was completely taken aback by the prices, $30.00 for a steak dinner + a lemonade($3.00)!! Then after a few hours it all started gurgling back at me. I spent the whole night on the toilet with diarrhea and vomiting. But on the plus side - - the girls who were working that evening were awfully CUTE!!

I agree with the "Worst" review above. I was there when Bob kicked out the couple who complained about the quality of their meals. It's a terrible dining experience when you see the owner throw a credit card back at the diners and tell them to "get out". Ruined my whole evening. My poached salmon was tough and dry as... More

We decided to eat here given the limited choices and bad reviews/menus of other restaurants in Monticello UT and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere and service were top notch. The rib eye and cedar plank salmon were the best food we've eaten during our month long tour of Utah. Even the homemade baked beans were a nice touch.

About 15 minutes after we were seated the owner just lost it and kicked 2 diners out. The locals said that you just can’t criticize Bob’s cooking. Out of our party of 5, 2 of us ate the roughlock potatoes. They were cold, but we ate them anyway. We were sicker than dogs for 24 hours. The steaks were so... More
