Authentic Thai food in the middle of the valley

We found this restaurant in a round-about way, but once we did the journey was "fun". Anny, the owner (and native Thai), has really embraced social media and includes, among other things, free youtube classes on how to make Thai dishes. I went to Chabaar with some friends. Overall, it was very good, but I'm sure glad I had read the other reviews and only ordered the heat level of 1/2. I like medium spicy food, but with just the level at 1/2, it was almost too hot. The service was good and the food had good flavor. I had one... More

the first time I ate at this place I really like their food, it was probably one of the best thai food I've tried, BUT the second time, I got the same dish, the meat had a very strange smell, I am a MEAT lover but this time not only I did not finish my dish, I was putting the... More

Definitely check this place out. It is definitely some of the hottest I've had - don't go up a level just for bragging rights. Your intake manifold may handle the heat, but your exhaust will surely lament the next day. We got the level 2 - and it was HOT! This was comparably some of the best Thai food we've... More

The Pho here is the best I've had in Utah. They also have great curries and some American choices, even some unexpected ones like Chicken and Waffles. The wait staff is always friendly and quick when it comes to refills and other requests. The best part of this restaurant is the spice. They have a 1 to 10 scale of... More

I love Thai food and Chabaar is my favorite in Utah. The owners also run the Tea Rose Diner in Murray, Utah with the same menu, but Chabaar has more seating and better atmosphere. Do not miss the fresh spring rolls; they are fantastic. The Tom Yum has a perfect savory balance. The mango curry is always done right. Caution:... More

When she says don't go hotter then don't! Their heat scale is different and they can recommend the best option for you. Awesome stir fry and very good pad thai. However, it is the honey-lavender ice cream that was the most amazing thing we tried. Would absolutely come here again. Thai tea was very good also.

The atmosphere was fantastic though with all the lights and the fact you can get a beer is amazing.I love hot, spicy food but seriously it was so hot I couldn't taste anything. The thing is that its a different type of spice than the standard chili pepper or something. Would be better if they just used the same as... More

Every time we go to Chabaars, we are not disappointed. They have fantastic Thai food, as well as American dishes. They are very eager to please. We also like their handcrafted gourmet ice cream for dessert. Their Honey Lavender is our family's favorite.

My family and I visited Salt Lake City and stayed in a hotel in Midvale. Since we had a busy long road trip, we wanted to find a good restaurant to have a nice dinner. The hotel gave us a map with showing the nearby restaurants and Chabaar was one of them. We like Asian food and quite picky about... More
