This place is small and always packed. Leave early on a weekend or you may not get to eat for an hour or two. That happens to me more than I like. This place is tied with Jeremiahs for me. I may have to give Sills the edge though. Very good all around. Just be ready to wait.

Pancakes, Scones, Potatoes, French Toast, SOS and more. Pile on the breakfast items and get ready to nap afterwards. The Sill family has been dishing out "Americana Cuisine" for decades and the restaurant has become a Layton city staple. Items are named after regulars who have made their dishes a mainstay. No low-fat items here! Come in and getting ready... More

My friends and I eat here all the time. There is usually a pretty long line but it's totally worth the wait! The scones are a must. As are the fritters, my favorite is cherry. I have never ate anything there that wasn't delicious. But my favorite is Emily's breakfast. If you like visits biscuits and gravy you should try... More

Sill's Cafe is a long standing Landmark in Layton, Utah with a dedicated customer base. If you're looking for a modern, upscale eaterie, this is not it. This is old fashioned, farm friendly, family sized calorie heaven that tastes great. Breakfast is where it is at if you go to Sill's. Lots of selection and all named after long standing... More

Food is great but go for the scones and the honeybutter. Scones take up an entire plate. Yummy and soooo bad for you. That's where the flavor is.

It is a bit of a local favorite, so it was crowded. It is just one big room so it was kinda loud. Portions are big, prices are very fair. Service was efficient. Now on to the scone, this isn't your typical dry crumbly English type scone at all, more like Indian fry bread or a huge sopapilla. They are... More

You'll get big portions and won't pay a lot. The atmosphere is a bit rough and the crowds are always large. Cleanliness is so-so. Lunch is less popular, but still good portions for the price. I don't eat there much any more. I'd rather pay more and have a nicer environment. Still, the huge scone is really awesome.

Sill's is all about breakfast, and nothing goes better with their breakfast than a big ol' Utah-style scone! It's the size of a dinner place and topped with whipped butter--so good! Sill's breakfasts tend to be on the big size, but are priced at a great value. The only problem is that it seems like they are ALWAYS crowded.

You know it going to be great food when people are waiting outside to get seated!! Big portions and tasty food at fair prices! My wife and I had breakfast in the afternoon and loved every bit of it!! My wife ordered breakfast with a scone which was so large she had to take half of it home along with... More

The restaurant us older than I am I think, but this location is an old Pizza Hut, converted into a breakfast shop. Very traditional and part if the Layton Landscape, this restaurant has a very loyal following. Food is solid, nothing to brag about, but good, and large portions. Customer service is hit or miss depending on the size of... More
