Home-Style Cooking and SCONES

I have visited Sill's for many years and almost always leave with a scone. The best scones anywhere outside of San Antonio. Always, always crowded so be prepared to wait and the food is not gourmet but it is very good home-style cooking in large quantities. I don't know why they didn't get a larger... read more

The food served here tastes just like homemade! The serving sizes are amazing, I usually go home with leftovers! The scones and cinnamon rolls take up the ENTIRE plate!! It's like diabetes on a plate with that sweet roll!! It's tradition to eat breakfast here after big events.

I have been going to sells cafe for 40 years Plus and have never been disappointed. they have the largest scones and cinnamon rolls I have ever had. if you just order a scone or cinnamon roll you will be full you don't have to order their biscuits and gravy or anything else just the scones or cinnamon roll.

I came here for breakfast with my family. When we first walked in I expected to be greeted and seated. We stood there for literally 5 minutes and no one said a word to us. They seen us, but kept going about their business. Then I noticed white board and writing that was rubbing off & small to read that... More

Every time I eat at Sills cafe, no matter how busy they are, and they are busy, you get personalized service with a friendly smile. The food is always the way you would expect it,fixed just the way you want it, and it tastes great. If you are looking for a great meal and a great price with a friendly... More

Huge portions, great taste, very reasonably priced!! Locals prefer this hands down. The atmosphere is very low keyed...out of coffee/ Get up and grab the pot. Fill your neighbors while you are at it!! But be early if you want a seat...there is always a line backed out the door!

Nothing fancy just great home cooking. If you leave hungry you must be taken home the fantastic scone. Usually busy but worth the wait. Great time to visit with the locals. If you're visiting the area take the time to stop in and try the great food.

The scones and pancakes are huge and amazing!!! My favorite dish here though is the hot hamburger. It is two hamburger patties on toast and covered with the best gravy with a side of mashed potatoes. My husband likes their double cheeseburger with bacon. For breakfast, especially on the weekends, make sure you are there early or you will have... More

This place is small and always packed. Leave early on a weekend or you may not get to eat for an hour or two. That happens to me more than I like. This place is tied with Jeremiahs for me. I may have to give Sills the edge though. Very good all around. Just be ready to wait.

Pancakes, Scones, Potatoes, French Toast, SOS and more. Pile on the breakfast items and get ready to nap afterwards. The Sill family has been dishing out "Americana Cuisine" for decades and the restaurant has become a Layton city staple. Items are named after regulars who have made their dishes a mainstay. No low-fat items here! Come in and getting ready... More
