Enroute to Yellowstone, we stopped by our favorite breakfast place, Sills cafe. We used to live in Layton 20 years ago when Sills was down the road on the other side of the freeway. They have the same menu items with a few new updates. We did recognize one waitress. You should arrive early so that you do not have... More

The service was not the best, but that didn't matter. All that I cared about was the huge, piping hot scones with a large pat of gooey honey butter on top. I knew this place would be good when I saw how many cars there were in the parking lot, and on a weekday too! The scones (which are not... More

It was a real surprise, when, on our first visit, they brought us our first course which was a scone! It was the size of a dinner plate, and had melted honey butter over the top. It was nearly a whole breakfast by itself. The food was good, but it was the scone that was the star.

We stopped in here for Sat morning breakfast at the recommendation of a friend and could tell this place was good by the cars packed into the parking lot. It's a 'seat yourself' place and boy was it packed. However the fast and extremely friendly service made it worthwhile. I got the Boss Breakfast which came with a scone the... More

My family and I have been going to sills for over 15 years now. Most of the employees know what we want to order so we never have to get a menu. The give you large size portions on everything. Granddaughter and daughter in law just love the scones. I usually get the mini breakfast with ham and cant usually... More

Sill's has been my favorite place for breakfast for years. They have the best "SOS" on the planet…a delicious white gravy with sausage, it's so good! Fantastic sweet rolls…even a "half" of a sweet roll will fill the plate. They have numerous signature breakfast combinations…lots of great choices. Breakfast is their forte and it is as another reviewer said, "Well... More

Sill's is a must for breakfat if you are visiting the Hill AFB area. They serve something there that is referred to locally as a "scone" but it is actually more like fried bread. No matter what you call it if you spread a generaous amount of honey butter on it you will be in breakfast heaven! All of the... More

Went with family members for dinner. They ordered breakfast items and were happy. I ordered Chicken fried steak and was disappointed. The veggies tasted like warmed up out of a can, the gravy without much taste and the meat inside the coating was thin. If I was to go back ( which is unlikely ) I would order a breakfast.

Expect to wait for a seat at Sill's cafe but the wait is so worth the yummy goodness you'll get! Their scones are lager than their plates and their sweet rolls are to die for! My husband LOVES the biscuits n' gravy. Sill's is a home town favorite!

Other than being locally owned and serving huge portions, I can't see the big attraction. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but it's not any different than others. It's just everyday home cooking.
