We sort of happened across this mom-and-pop restaurant because we were staying across the street in the Royal Inn/Kanab. What could possibly be more convenient? We quickly learned it wasn't just a matter of convenience but clearly this was the best Mexican food we had ever eaten--bar none! The restaurant is smallish and we actually had to get in line... The waitress was rude & after she delivered my food she never returned to the table, I even had to ask for the check. The basket of chips she brought me were only half full. My burrito looked pitiful. The refried beans were good, but not good enough to change this review.

Was staying at The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary outside of town and came in for dinner. This was the only place with cars so we decided to stop, good choice! Food was really good, servers were friendly and chips were excellent! Not much to look at in the inside but if you are passing through, this is a good place... More

Freshly made food. Had the chile verde tostada. Very good. Salsa made it nicely spicy. Great chips. Husband had chile relliano. Had a bit of a "different" tomato sauce on it....not typical....good, but not his favorite.

I don't like to give average reviews when I see staff working so hard, but food was just ok. Chips a bit greasy. Salsa was good. Guacamole was watery and not much taste. Had veggie fajita which was a huge serving, but a little bland. Husband had chile rellano and an enchilada. Thought it was ok, but drenched in too... More

My two favorite restaurants in Kanab are the Rocking V and Escobars. Rocking V is pricey, so Escobars is mostly where we go when in Kanab. The food is good and reasonably price. However, be prepared to wait in line. Not too thrilled I had to wait in line to pay also the last time I was there, with the... More

Food was pretty good but wish they could serve magaritas. Staff was very efficient and friendly. Portions were adequate and chips and salsa was good. Visited there while going to the north rim of grand canyon. On our 6 WK trip out west we had some really excellent Mexican food. This one was not one of the top 5.

Four of us had a terrific meal. I had a burrito the others had chimichangas. It was a lot of food, only one of could finish. Chips and salsa were very good. We will return.

The reviews led us to this place. They were either severely understaffed or highly unorganized the night of our visit. The service left a lot to be desired - good thing we weren't in a hurry. The food was not worth the wait. The best part of the meal was the Corona & the refried beans. Would not go back.

Kanab is a very small town with a handful of restaurants. This is my favorite place to eat when I'm in town. They have delicious chimichangas along with chips and salsa at the table. The service can be a little slow if they are busy, but I have always liked their waitstaff. If in town, grab a bite to eat... More
