Unfortunate name, given the recent apprehension of one of mexico's drug lords of the same name!... More

I have traveled and worked in many parts of Mexico over the past 15 years. From big city trips to remote mountain mine camps. This restaurant falls right in the middle of what to expect. The very friendly atmosphere is what caught my attention at the beginning. The place was packed with locals and that is a good sign. Couples... More

Food was bland and ordinary. This must have been the only place open on this date as it was packed. if beer and/or wine was served it was not listed on the menu. Since this is Utah and they have prehistoric alcohol laws I'm wondering if you need to have a special handshake to get a drink. We had water... More

Beware vampires! My friend had the garlic shrimp dish and I stole a bite - the garlicky aroma already made my mouth water, and the shrimp was really yummy. The nachos and salsa was good, a little addicting actually. They have outside seating, but the night was too cold for that. It was really crowded the night we went there... More

We eat here often and love talking with the owner. The food is authentic and very good. I especially like the chili verde dishes but the fajitas are fantastic, too.

A lot of places were closed for the winter so we tried this little establishment. Excellent Mexican food at reasonable prices. No Margaritas, but the beer was cold. It's a small place so be prepared to wait.

A local friend took us to Escobar's - for my taste there's way too much choice, I like smaller menus. I had a mixed plate with burrito, beans, lettuce. It all tasted really good, staff was friendly, I'd eat there again.

We sort of happened across this mom-and-pop restaurant because we were staying across the street in the Royal Inn/Kanab. What could possibly be more convenient? We quickly learned it wasn't just a matter of convenience but clearly this was the best Mexican food we had ever eaten--bar none! The restaurant is smallish and we actually had to get in line... The waitress was rude & after she delivered my food she never returned to the table, I even had to ask for the check. The basket of chips she brought me were only half full. My burrito looked pitiful. The refried beans were good, but not good enough to change this review.
