Recently returned for dinner with friends- two visiting from Texas and Maryland. The halibut special was outstanding- fresh from Alaska, well prepared, and presented. The lamb meatballs in tomato cream sauce are a house specialty, and I can see why!! Moist, well seasoned, and served with saffron rice. (Israeli couscous not available that day). Arriving early, there were few guests,... More

My girlfriend and I recently had dinner at Layla and it was delicious. The food was fabulous and the servers were very attentive. Our waitress happened to be the owners' daughter and she was outstanding! She was so knowledgeable and offered advice on the various Lebanese wines (we had the Cave Kouroum Petit, which was excellent) and answered our questions... More

This is a family owned business, featuring traditional Lebanese food. The father and son are the chefs, mother (Layla) makes the desserts and Lebanese cookies. The daughters manage and serve. Good selection of wines, including several from Lebanon. I love the food, always happy there. Chicken Schwarma, Tabouleh salad, fries with special seasoning are all favorites there. Service is friendly... More

I've driven by this place many times and we finally decided to try it out (I live nearby). Fabulous. We took some friends we all decided it was one of our new favorite places. Everything we tried was delicious but the chicken skewers are my favorite. The staff is friendly and it wasn't crowded. Get away from the chains or... More

There comes a point in time when you have reached the limit of waiting for your meal and this visit was it! It's pointless for me to even review the food (which was good) since I was completely "over it" by the time it arrived. I came with a group of 3 for lunch at 1pm. Yes, it was busy... More

I happened upon this restaurant on tripadvisor and took my wife out on a date. It was fairly busy so I recommend booking, even weekdays. The atmosphere was great and we felt very comfortable. The menu had a good selection of typical Mediterranean dishes such as tabouli and hummus, shwarma and kabobs. Their drinks included wines from Lebanon as well... More

Family style place. Most of the food we ordered was excellent (crab cakes, meat flatbread and Morgan Valley lamb kabob). Only the spinach pie was not great. Nice wine by the glass. Good service. Reasonable prices

A very nice, family-owned neighborhood establishment. Very attentive, personal service. The food was very good, but not the best Mediterranean food in the Salt Lake City area. Reasonably priced, tasty, and a convenient location. They accept reservations, which is a big plus. I would definitely return, but it's not at the top of my list.
