Good Burgers, Great Fries, Killer Shakes

Hardshell seat booths ala fast food, but comfortable. Clean, open and well-lighted. Big. The burgers are better than typical fast food but not gourmet. The fries are excellent -- the crispy outside soft inside type. The milkshakes taste good and are heavy: a small one will be adequate for most... read more

I have had a milkshake from Stan's on three separate occasions. They are awesome! However, their shakes are more like a blizzard. You have to eat them with a spoon. They have a small and a large. The large is super huge! I could not eat all of it. Whichever size you get the shake is sticking about two inches... More

My husband and I ordered hamburgers with cheese. We expected to have an ordinary hamburger. After our first bite we knew there was something special about this place. They were the best hamburgers we've ever had. When we talked to one of the employees about it, she informed us that it was local, free-range beef. Well, there is a lot... More

Stopped here on our way home from Moab - middle of nowhere, but good food at good prices. Cajun fries were very good and really liked my burger, especially for such a tiny town. Nice that it was open on a Sunday as well. Bathrooms were clean and convenience station connected was nice too. Service wasn't the friendliest ever but... More

What a unique place Duke and Jessica have developed on the outskirts of tiny Hanksville. This place is worth the stop if you are passing through, or staying at the nearby Whispering Sands Motel. The service is great, the staff is happy and friendly and full of advice if you ask, and the attached mini general store is convenient. Stopping... More

We stop at Stan's burger shack every time we head home from Lake Powell. The food is good. The shakes are even better! It is a lot of food. You can definitely share a shake!

My wife and I stopped at Stan's while on a road trip in October 2014. It's in Hanksville Utah, a small place just barely on the map. It's close to Capitol Reef NP, so it seems to do Okay. The place was clean, the Burgers and fries were good, prices were reasonable, and there is a nice convenience store/gift shop... More

Wednesdays I deliver in Hanksville for my job and always look forward to getting done so I can get my double burger with only lettuce pickles and ketchup. Crazy thing is this is what I get all the time so as soon as I walk up to place my order they already know what I want. Great staff that is... More

We went to Bullfrog Maringa for the day, and returning decided to stop at Stan's and have a burger. Best idea EVER! We split the double bacon cheeseburger 1/2 was plenty!! It was perfectly delicious. We also added some onion rings and they were great. The French fries are a great surprise also. I think they are a beer battered... More
