We stayed in Hanksville for two nights. Because there is not much to choose from in Hanksville we decided to go to the Red Rock Restaurant. First meal we chose a steak. It was, well, ok. Second meal I chose a Caesar Salad with chicken. The only thing I can say is: beware of that salad or at least the... More

First of all I'm Italian, the restaurant was cheaper and good. Don't care about the town where the restaurant is placed. If you're driving close to here think to stop here to have a good meal.

Food terrible and overpriced. Steak had a lot of gristle; corn and refried beans tasted like they came from a can; burritos were big, but had little flavor.

Four of stopped in after a long day of riding. Server admitted the chicken fried steak was frozen anf the trout came from a box. Vegetables obviously came from a bag, heated from frozen as well. The only thing edible was the baked potato.

We didn't use the restaurant but only the campsite. We visited 34 campsites in 6 weeks. Everywhere is something not totally OK. But this site wasn't OK at all! Terrible restrooms! Dirty toilets, sinks and showers. Not cleaned in days or even weeks. The last cleaning consisted of pushing the dirt in the corners. Much damage (clothes hooks, floor, faucet,... More

You have to drive a long way between small towns in this part of Utah, so you can get a pretty good appetite by the time you find a place to eat. Red Rock restaurant is a modest looking place, nothing fancy, but good solid food. Breakfast here was hot, tasty and plentiful. Eggs cooked just right, hash browns very... More

Stopped one night in Hanksville on the way to Moab and had a very nice meal. Service friendly and the meals very fresh. Alas no alcohol. Under new management it says, could do with a little touch up, but don't let that put you off

There aren't too many choices in Hanksville, but Red Rock can be recommended by us. The restaurant looks basic, but the people there are very nice and convenient. We had steak, steak and shrimps combo and burger. The food came very soon. Everything was delicious, the steaks have been cooked as ordered. We can recommend Red Rock to anbody. The... More

We saw the sign that said "New management". Since we've eaten here in the past and it was so-so at best, we thought we'd give it a try. The management was fine, the two ladies working there were very sweet. However, our lunches (we both ordered patty melts) were literally dripping grease. The restaurant badly needs a facelift (just a... More
