The place was pretty crowded. We needed to wait for some time until we were served drinks and food. Once the food arrived we were OK with its quality. It was certainly not spectecular. However there are not many options in Green River.

We love to try out the local places to eat when traveling. Ray's Tavern has a great "town" feeling about it. Hamburgers are yummy and they serve beer from a Salt Lake Brewery. This was our third year to stop in. After spending a beautiful day finding petroglyphs and exploring the old coal mining town of Sego, Ray's was the...

The entire city of Green River feels run down and dead.
Except Ray's Tavern. You walk inside and it's a completely different world. It feels alive and well kept.
It is well know as a stop off for a burger - a lot of people drop by on there way home from a Moab trip.
The only downside is it...

Sometimes a delicious burger is what a body needs, and if you find yourself in Green River, Utah, you'll be delighted by what you get at Ray's Tavern. Moist, tasting of the grill and tasting like meat, the burger is a good size, comes with fries and/or coleslaw, and satisfies.
Ray's is ok if you like burgers or steak. We found the prices quite high for the quality of the food.
Ray's is busy, not because it's great, but because it's really the only place to eat in Green River. The variety doesn't extend much beyond how monstrously large you'd like your steak to be....but luckily they have a garden burger on the menu. It was fine and the home cut fries were really good. The coleslaw is bland but the...

Went to Ray's on a tip from a friend who knew I was driving to Moab with some friends. Very, very good burgers and apple pie. Clean, well kept and a pretty nice atmosphere, especially with as generally run down as the town appears. Burgers were a tad pricey, I thought, but I would definitely stop in again if on...

These aren't the small pathetic things that you get at most places. This place has been around for years. They don't try to have a large menu. They do burgers and steak. Everything else is to compliment those. Fries are skin on, hand cut. Service is good and the place is busy. They didn't even mind me bringing in my...

We sat at the bar and saw all of the food going out to the customers. The steaks looked great! The hamburgers and beers were good. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a good place to eat and that served cocktails in Utah!
