I stopped here late at night. Beware they close around 8:30 or 9 o'clock. Their dinners are excellent they have a great selection and the prices are very modest.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express just down the road and hit Tamarisk for dinner. In early January, there aren't many options in Green River. Don't worry, Tamarisk is fine. I had two kids, my wife and elderly mother with me. I ordered a local beer and it was fine. The soup and salad bar were minimal but ok.... More

Went there twice through lack of alternatives. Attractive design and great setting. Food was very average to be honest and our server on the first occasion had a bigger chip on her shoulder than we could find with our burgers. Same food (including 'today's specials) next day and better service - but not genuinely friendly.

I try to find local restaurants when on vacation. We were traveling from Denver to Vegas for NYE. I decided to stop early in Green River at the Tamarisk, Great Choice. We stopped for lunch on a Saturday. It wan not too busy; the place was about half full. I enjoyed the single trip to the salad bar. The lettuce... More

You wouldn't expect any culinary miracles around Green River and though this wasn't a miracle, every dish we had was excellent and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The restaurant has a modern, trendy vibe to it. And so yes, salads coming in mixing bowls just fitted the theme. The Navajo Taco salad and the Oriental Chicken Salad were both excellent. Generous... Stopped here for lunch with my wife and 3 kids, we loved it. I had the chilli burger, loved it, my wife had the mushroom burger, loved it, kids had hamburger steak and corn dogs, had onion rings, loved it all. Fresh, tasty, served promptly and with a smile. Only problem is getting back there, it is way out there... More

I remember stopping in Green River as a kid on our way to Lake Powell. On a recent road trip to Colorado, I stopped with the family for a late lunch before getting back on the road. I found the same picturesque view, but a totally fresh atmosphere and updated menu. The food was excellent and the service outstanding (thanks... More

Based on the good reviews, I stopped at Tamarisk for brunch. Service was a tad slow despite the fact that there were only two other tables of diners. I had the chicken fried steak and it was pretty bland and average. The chair I was sitting in could be used as a torture device for folks with bad backs. It... More

This place has a nice feel to it, I really like the use of the chalkboard paint and the decor. The menu had a lot of choices and there is something for everyone. Came in here one evening around 8pm. The place was pretty empty and with the big openness and the fact I was freezing made it feel a... More

Worth the wait ... theres a wait because it's the best place to eat in town!!!! The chips and salsa were killer good. They have a large selection and great salad bar. We got some stuff and shared it ... it was so good we talked about driving an hour back from Moab to have dinner. We'd stopped there for... More
