We were very surprised at this restaurant off the beaten path. Excellent service and excellent food. Very nice and clean place. The staff treat you like friends instead of tourist. We would go back just for their Navajo Tacos.

We have tried to find a decent restaurant between Canyon country and Salt Lake City. Finally tried this place. Portions are generous, everything was good. My wife loved her Navajo Chicken Salad. I had a pork chop, which was perfectly cooked. Steak fries were just OK. Overall a great stop. Nice view of the river. My wife's last comment "boy... More

After a long days drive from Las Vegas (NV) and checking in to the Super 8, the Tamarisk was recommended. There was a short wait which, to me, was reassuring. The place is very nice with wait seating inside and out. The main dining room overlooks the Green River and is very picturesque. We happen to be there at sunset.... More

Good quality food with a view of the river while you eat. This place is a good stop-over for a lunch on a road trip.

My pasta with chicken was excellent but my wife's fish had too much bread on it and the potato was cold. Had a table near the window with a beautiful view of the setting sun. Staff and waitress were not particularly friendly but I would go again for the food.

What a gem of a place in the middle of nowhere Utah! Overlooking the Green River, the restaurant has a great fresh vibe and menu fit for a big city setting but nestled in a small town. Pork chops are amazing and are tender and juicy like fresh of the grill. The kids burrito was the perfect size and super... More

Tamarisk was a surprising find. After driving for several hours with little to call civilization in sight, the tiny town of Green River appeared. Tamarisk adds some "modern" flair to an otherwise quiet town. The food itself was high quality but the aesthetics were the most intriguing to me. The service was a little lacking but that did not affect... More

Excellent location looking over the Green River. Copious family food. Long working hours to accommodate late travellers like us.

This is a very nice restraunt! The food was great and not at all what you would expect from a place that has "Rural and Proud" as their motto. The wait staff was ok, a little slow for what I am used to, but this little restraunt was busy when we went. One of the coolest things was all the... More
