So impressed with the atmosphere and food! Came years ago and thought it was just OK. The new menu and updated decor really make this a place to check out! The staff was so good to my family and waited on us hand and foot! Thank you for a great experience!

I had read reviews about this restaurant, so I knew that the food was a little expensive- you pretty much expect that, out in the middle of nowhere! My husband & I decided to share a Chef Salad. it was in a large metal bowl, & it was a good salad- it was $10.99. The blue cheese dressing was thick... More

We had a vegetarian and a mushroom burger with mashed potatoes and gravy and steamed broccoli. The food was fresh and tasty and the staff was attentive. The best thing however is the great view over the green river on a bright and sunny day!

We were going through Green River at lunch time and it looked like our only choice was fast food until we came upon the Tamarisk Restaurant and it was a gem. We had seats overlooking the river, which was nice. Good crowd at lunch and they looked like locals. Good choices on the menu. Had the buffalo burger & salad... More

We each had a salad - I had the turkey, bacon & avocado salad & my wife had the taco salad with chicken - and each was tasty and contained plenty of the 'good stuff'. Our service was fine, and the salads were a good value price-wise (as well as taste-wise).

There are really limited dining options for dining in Green River. There was quite a crowd there both dining and waiting to get a seat. The wait was not too bad though. We had perused the menu while waiting so when we got seated we basically ordered right away. The service was prompt and courteous despite the crowd. Our meals... More

In a small town that survives mostly as a stop along I-70 with a few good tourist attractions nearby, the standards are set a little below most other towns. Tamerisk was clearly the nicest place to go for dinner in GR and the food and menu were good. Our large party put pressure on the servers, who handled us well... More

The choices in Green River are pretty limited but we found The Tamarisk a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was right across from our hotel and we were tired from traveling all day and wanted to stay close to where we were staying. The restaurant sits right on the river and has a large windows to enjoy the view. We both... More

We've eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently good and there is quite a variety. The restaurant has beautiful views of the Green River and the towering bluffs beyond. There are lots of vegetarian options as well. We had chile rellenos and found that the chiles as well as the tomatoes had been... More
