We went there for dinner. The place is neat ( rustic ). Our waitress was nice and efficient. We had the Prime Rib. Roll and raspberry jam was good. Baked Potato was nice hot and flaky but the Prime Rib how ever left some to be desired. The flavor was fine but for a "Slow roasted " piece of meat... More

The food was all right but nothing to shout about. It took awhile to be seated and then awhile to be served. We had young kids and they were bouncing off the ceiling by the time the food came. When we walked in, of course I asked if they offered Raspberry shakes. The host said, "Oh, if you want that,... More

The Bear Lake area has a lot of great burger places but it was nice to find a sit down restaurant with a larger selection. Our family ordered the shrimp skewers, the seafood pasta, and a few more dishes. Everything was good and portions were decent sizes. The pastas come in petit and large sizes. My family ordered petit and... More

We hoped to enjoy a nice lunch. When we arrived, we were told that the restaurant was full and that it would take about 15 minutes to be seated. Fine. We had the hostess place our name on the “list” so that we really would be the next people served, and told her we’d visit their gift shop next door.... More

We were taking both my grandson and my mother in-law out for a birthday breakfast (yes they share the same birthdate). We arrived at the restaurant at 10:31 and asked to order breakfast, but were refused stating they were now on the lunch menu (which started at 10:30). I understand that to switch to lunch service you have to change... More

My wife and I enjoyed our Tuesday evening dinner here. I had the Grand Platter and she had Pulled Pork. Both were excellent.

The Bear Trapper Steak House is geared toward large families with most of the seating arrangements for parties of 6 and up. There are tables for 2 and they accepted us with open arms so we found the restaurant cozy for breakfast. Prices were great and so was the service. Large restrooms caught me off guard. The Bear Trapper is... More

Run of the mill... no vegetarian dishes worth talking about... Pasta was so so. The Raspberry shake tasted like they poured half a jar of raspberry jam into the blender with Vanilla Ice Cream. It was sickeningly sweet.

Looking at it from the outside, my interest was eager. It looks cozy and rustic. It was a bit pricey, but their strongest competitors are local fast food drive in places. Service was a bit slack, and the food was only average at best. Do not waste your time (or money) on the Shepherds Pie. N certainly not a place... More

The waitress was not friendly and the food bland... I never did get I specifically the lemon for my shrimp. We even had to ask for an itemized receipt. We won't be eating there again.
