Worth a Visit

We ate here a year ago when we were in this area and thought the food and service was very good, so we thought we would try it again. It was not quite as good as we remembered, but the food was still very good. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and I had the hamburger. The pulled pork... read more

After a hard day of riding, a good meal and few beers are just what the doctor ordered. The Prospector offered all of with local ambiance. Good place to kick back and relax.

Stopped here on way back from Escalante Hike. Only open in winter from 5-8PM. Jenifer was a fantastic hostess and took care of our every need. I ordered the steak and it came out a little less than medium rare. Jenifer fixed it immediately and it was quite good. Soup was also good. Wife ordered a burger and it was... More

Wow, blown away is only way to describe it. Hiking escalate in November we honestly didn't expect to find much open let alone something like this. Started with a side salad all grown by the owner herself, heirloom tomato was out of this world. Local baked trout with homemade home grown cilantro sauce was amazing then simply had to order... I was going to order the BBQ ribs, but was told they ran out. I ordered the "special" a baked chicken breast stuffed with bree, cranberry's and apple, with dutch oven potatoes and zucchini, carrots and a salad. The salad was good (serve yourself), the chicken was very dry, never tasted the cranberry's or apple. The potatoes were dry and the... More

The restaurant has a nice ambiance in cowboy style and a couple of booths to sit that offer privacy. The portions are big and the quality is good. Great burgers and chicken teriyaki. Service could be a little friendlier but all in all good quality for a reasonable price.

This is a simple and Spartan dinner. We were told by the waitress that the special was terrific and that it consisted of chicken cordon bleu and Yukon potatoes and vegetables and salad for $17. What we got was a 4 inch long piece of zucchini sliced in half and red potatoes that looked and tasted like they were left... More

Best ribeye in town. Great wait staff. It is definitely a mom and pop style restaurant and we think these are the best places to eat!.

We had the blues burger which was big and tasty! The wedge salad was the best salad we ever ate! Everything fresh from the garden! And even homemade fresh mustard! Awesome!
