A cut above the average small town restaurant with very well prepared meals. The flat iron steak was delicious and the vegetables were cooked just right (meaning cooked until they were just done and served fresh). Service was friendly and professional.

Enjoyed a night with a little live entertainment and a good Margaurita. Folks in our party enjoyed Mexican fare and I had a good Caesar Salad. The place is well-lit and friendly- full of locals and travelers alike.

No offense to the town of Escalante, but I was expecting to find average restaurants. We were very pleased with our dinner at Cowboy Blues. The variety and quality of the food was very good. The service was outstanding. We were made to fell welcome and our waitress attentive. We were a group of seven cars from our club heading... More

We arrived at 9 pm, about 30 minutes before closing, but they were still happy to serve us. Food was fine, especially dessert, which we took back to the hotel.

The locals clearly love this place and tourists too. Friendly people, relaxed atmosphere, good food and good wine and good value for money. Just what you need after a day of Escalante adventure.

We loved the chips and queso dip. I really liked my BBQ chicken salad. The rest of the meal was not as successful. My daughter and husband got burgers, and neither were impressed. The sole waitress was clearly struggling, and it took a long time to order and a longer time for the food to come. And although they advertise... More

We were staying in Escalante in January and asked at our motel where we could get dinner. We were directed to Cowboy Blues and told they were the only restaurant open. The food at this restaurant was dreadful and the prices were as high as much better restaurants in larger cities (ie extremely over-priced for the standard of food served).... More

There's an authenticity about this place that makes it very inviting and comfortable. Nothing pretentious. Genuinely friendly. Very attentive. Sincerely caring. And the meals we had were excellent. The corn chowder was superb. Jennifer, the manager and our waitress, told us the corn was from her garden. We asked if she made the soup. She said yes. So we asked... More

We have been here in the years 2006, 2009, 2010 and now october 2013. The new Crew has changed a part of the furniture - but in our opinion the white upholstered benches don't match to the rest of the room and it lost the Flair of old west. However - we can recommend the Prime Rib, the Ranch Steak... More

I had a steak in Cowboy Blues, and I must say I had eaten better ones before (and after). The food quality is just standard. But one good thing - they do serve beer. In some restaurants in Utah they force you to drink Coke or tea with your steak - horrible. But - as I said - luckily enough... More
