This is a place in the mitle the mountains with a really nice view and healthy food. The people working there are really nice and helpful. All the food you can eat there is really healthy and tasty.

We stopped here on our drive on Highway 12 and did not regret it. It's a dreamy little place in the scenic Escalante landscape, they offer nice coffee and other refreshing, homemade drinks and snacks, also sell locally made jewellery and ceramics, with a beautiful canyon view and a cosy feel indoor and outdoor, on a terrace. Definitely worth a... More

What a gem! The kiva offers outdoor seating (or indoor) with 360 degrees of breathtaking beauty. The breakfast was not very memorable, but we would definitely return for coffee and the view! Thanks Kiva.

The best feature of this restaurant is the view. The food is not bad either, though realize, as the name implies, it is basically a coffeehouse. They are open for lunch and have a couple sandwiches and salads, but not much selection. There are better choices for both coffee and lunch in Escalante, a short drive to the west. The... More

Stop here if you are traveling Highway 12...I guarantee that you will not regret it! This family-run restaurant seems in the middle of nowhere but is midway between Escalante and Boulder, Utah, between mile markers 73 and 74. Invisible from the road, it is built into the hillside; this wood and stone building uses natural properties to heat and cool... More

This place is awesome...open from April to October it's a beautiful place that you could easily miss...coffee is first rate and the baked goods are yummy, especially after a night camping! The story of the place is charming too...a retired engineer built the place using local materials into the hillside...read the story on the wall. We didn't have the service... More

This place was built into the side of the canyon. We stopped for breakfast on our way to Bryce Canyon. The food was good and the views were beautiful. I would recommend getting breakfast here. Service was a little slow though.

It's a small coffee house built into the side of a rock canyon. It's a cute idea, but I quickly realized that they had no air conditioning, and it was hot in there.

Very nice location and good food. But we were disappointed in the way the young woman behind the counter treated us. She was cold, unfriendly and had an arrogant attitude. Shame in such a nice environment.

After a hot day of hiking in the Slot Canyons, we stopped at the Kiva House for a cold glass of tea before heading back. What a magical place.
