Very unique!

So, being a foodie & a trained Chef, I judged the book by its color at first. Judging from the location and the looks of the building (indide and out) I was turned off. But out of curiosity, I walked inside to check the menu anyway. Thank God I did! Chef Hai is a lot of fun and a great... read more

We ordered seafood. The place was not crowded and it took 45 minutes plus to get our meal. The Ahi Tuna was not good and in some areas severely overcooked and in others still sushi style. The sauce which was served over the tuna and salmon was bland and did not fit the seafood program at all. The shrimp sauce... More

Chef Hai is very charismatic and fun. There isn't a menu-just choose a protein or vegetarian. The day we were there, Chef was explaining his bbq sauce to someone. I have to try the ribs just for the sauce! He gave us a sample of the prime rib (very good, and I don't eat cow) and salmon. The salmon had... More

We had a great meal with two other couples who are frequent quests of this restaurant. My wife and I were surprised at first because there are no menus or waitresses. Chef Hai is very personable and helpful with any ideas or suggestions. He comes to your table personally to see what you would like to eat. Fish or beef... More

Chef Hai came to our table and asked what we wanted, we told him lots of seafood, veggies, and make my cry spicy. He delivered a masterpiece. We had every seafood he had combined with fresh veggies in layers of sauces that gave every bite a new experience. Truly one of my memorable and best meals ever.

At first I was a bit intimidated at being directly served by this chef, who is amazing and quite direct. He is very interested in getting you what you want, so don't be afraid to be specific or give him a challenge. He's up to it! Although he lets you know what is on his mind! The last time I... More

and walked away having one of the best meals I've had in a long time. We were traveling for business and when one of my co-workers suggested eating here and explained the food, I was immediately resistant. I was outvoted and so glad I was. The food is prepared fresh. the chef visits the table, and makes you feel at... More

This is by far the best restaurant in terms of food in Davis County. Chef Hai is very personable and one of the few that will actually visit with you during the meal. Entrees are served with crisp salads house dressing(which is to die for) with always the right amount. The meat is always tender, properly seasoned and cooked to... More

To be fair the first time my husband and I ate here we really liked it. The chef was charming and the food good. We decided to go there for Valentine's Day for their "Lobster Night" a few years back and help support a local business. We were so appalled at the bad food and service (not to mention being... It cracks me up to read the reviews of people who obviously don't "get" this experience. How can some people love it, and some people hate it? Haters are gonna hate. Chef Hai is a knucklehead. If you want a menu and an orthodox experience, I'd recommend Applebee's or some other cookie-cutter place. If you want a totally off-the-wall experience,... More
