The name of the restaurant had us 4 Aussies a little bit worried but from the moment we entered this oasis till when we left several hours later we felt we were in culinary heaven. My soup was full of natural goodness and the blueberry pancakes were the best I've ever tasted. The setting is beautiful and the service was... More

This is hidden gem that would fit into any size city with an appetite for fresh, farm to table cuisine. My server said they grow most of their food on their own farm. What they can't grow, they source locally or, at the least, within Utah. I dropped in for lunch, drawn by the name of the restaurant and hoping... More

This out-of-the-way restaurant in a very tranquil setting is definitely worth the effort to drive to. The house salad is outstanding, with fresh fruit accents, pep it's, and dried corn for a special crunch. Definitely big enough to share. The steelhead trout was perfectly prepared, as was the lemon chicken. Great service and great rod. We'll return next year for... More

I just recently started using trip advisor to check out good places to eat. And have become a contributor as well. So although it's more than a year ago that we ate there it was so fabulous that I have to give this review. We stumbled upon this place by accident after visiting the area for Zion and Bryce Canyon.... More

Whether you're at Bryce, Escalante, or Torry it is worth driving here for a meal. Unique dishes, well-executed and reasonably priced, in a beautiful setting, and to top that, wonderful service. This is a restaurant that stands out, and is unique not only in the region, but in Utah.

Really great food here! It is farm to table and very friendly to vegetarians. Also, unlike I think all other restaurants in the area, you can order something other than pizza here! It was all really good, and good meaning that I would love to eat here all the time, not just good enough for the road.

After a long day of hiking, my husband and I stumbled upon this local gem and decided to stop. What a nice surprise. The food was really excellent. Locally sourced food and organic. Lovely, environment. You can eat in or outdoors. Would highly recommend it if you're in the escalante area of utah.

We passed through Boulder coming from Burr Trail and decided after long debate to have lunch at Hell's Backbone Grill. The restaurant is very nice and clean, wth freshly cut flowers at each table and a good menu with quality ingredients. My wife had the enchilada with goat cheese and scrambled eggs and I went for the BLT. Actually I... More

We stayed at the Lodge for a week and ate at the restaurant several times for both breakfast and dinner. The food is outstanding and presentation is excellent. The menu is limited but adequate, with perhaps eight or ten entrees, including one or two vegetarian dishes. We were disappointed that their special was the same for the entire week. The... More
