We found out about this place a few days before we were there and managed to be there in time for lunch. What a great place! We had a wonderful lunch and the setting was great. There is a wonderful flower garden out front and inside is very pleasant. The food was delicious and interesting and the prices quite reasonable.... More

This was our second visit to Boulder, and the second time we did the Burr Trail. This was wonderful last year, so we really looked forward to have lunch at this place again. And again, the service was super friendly and easy-going, the food was delicious. The menu is interesting, offering at the same time a variety of very nice... More

While I've only been 2x, both breakfast, they were both the most pleasant experiences I've had. The blue corn pancakes are amazing… AMAZING. The cinnamon butter, the potato cakes, the toast, the bacon, oh my gosh the bacon. The servers were super nice, even with my 3 children- they treated me (and my kids) like any other person. Great setting... More

We went for dinner in late July. The drive itself was worth the trip, but the meal was fantastic. Incredible soup and salad -- all created from locally grown vegetables -- for the light eater in the group. The free-range pork chop recommended by the owner was one of the best cuts of meat we had ever tasted, perfectly cooked... More

I live in Salt Lake, and last month I took my mother on a tour of Southern Utah, the culinary highlight of which SHOULD have been lunch at the Hell's Backbone grill. I'd been to a wedding here a few years previously and was immensely looking forward to visiting again When we arrived, we were the second party in the... More

You might need a reservation but it's worth the trouble. Quite vegetarian-friendly, eco-friendly, and in addition, delicious and creative!

Amazing "authentic" Chile sauce in the "Jenchalida" breakfast-for-lunch. I don't know if life will ever take me near Boulder, Utah again, but if it does, I'll go to Hell's Backbone Grill again.

This was our a second trip--lunch--to this off-the-beaten-path oasis in a very arid area. This is a gourmet restaurant without the pretense that sometimes accompanies that label. It's wonderful food, excellently prepared and presented. They grow a major portion of their veggies and local source much of the rest.. Beef is grass-fed--the meatloaf was amazing! We were there for dinner... More

This restaurant is in the middle of Utah where one would think impossible to find healthy food let alone vegetarian and vegan options. The restaurant menu has quite a few of these dishes, they use a lot of local, seasonal ingredients. And all the ones my family tried were delicious. The staff was also very knowledgeable, friendly and cheerful. A... More
