Always Good!

We like to travel to southern Utah just to eat here. Always fresh and interesting entrees, excellent desserts and great service. Love the house salad, goat cheese fondue, Enchilada, and the Lemony Cluck.

Some backpacking friends and I were driving through town on our way from Bryce and Capitol Reef and were searching for some sustenance that did not include ClifBars. I had done a little searching beforehand and had heard of Hell's Backbone grill but did not know what to expect. While I admit anything would taste good after spending days in... More

An unexpected delight!! My husband and I came upon Hell's Backbone Grill after hearing rave reviews weeks before on a national radio talkshow. Since we had not expected to be able to dine there, rounding the scenic highway to find it was a delight in itself!! We immediately turned in to read the menu. The menu consisted of savory, creative... More

I stop here every time I am in the area, and I have never been disappointed by food, people (owners, waiters) and ambiance. Those Tibetan flags you see in front of ther building - tell you that this is a place where you can relax after encountering hostile locals in Panguitch or Escalante who sometimes do not look kindly at... After living in Utah since the summer of last year, my husband, daughter and I had the pleasure of being introduced to Hell's Backbone Grill in Boulder, UT. We had heard great reviews about the place, but were not expecting the quality of food and service we received here. This is a Farm to Table restaurant and everything that shows... More

I was told by so many people how great this place was. The waiter was horrible to start with. We went for my husbands birthday and were extremely disappointed. The food was flavorless and expensive. I don't mind spending the money but when I do I expect awesome results. The decor was the coolest part about the place but it... More

Our group of 12 ate here for dinner, then back for breakfast the next morning. This idyllic setting is a great respite from camping. Beautiful, casual, delicious, fresh! The menu is original and offers something for everyone. The trout pate, meat loaf, lemony cluck, chile-migas, fabulous french toast, elk sausage - all unique and prepared to perfection. I had to... We were going between Mesa Verde and Bryce National Park. Drove past this place and they had space for dinner. Food was excellent and service was too.

its hard to "dislke" food when you're a foodie that is pieasantly surprised. Having already passed on the campfire food a couple days a go in Escalante for fine dining we found ourselves at an unassuming little cottage-ish eatery that had for to been told of its greatness. Did I yet again drop a large bill again? yes. Was it... More
