We arrived at the Sunglow at 8pm and were surprised how busy it was, or had been. We were able to find a clean table and had no sooner sat down when the waitress came for our drink orders. Very efficient indeed. The menu had lots of choices, but quite limited if you are vegetarian (which we are not). My... More

In the late 1980s we stayed at the motel and ate at the cafe, and an intriguing item on the menu then was Pinto Bean pie. I didn't try it then, but when we ate there in Oct 2014, I was happy to find it was still on the menu. We tried it, and while it might sound awful, it... More

Closes at 8:30 so you must get there by 8. Our entree's were good. Nothing to rant and rave about. Better than average, very good is pushing it. The pies, however, were interesting. We purchased the sampler which was a good choice. It had the Buttermilk, Oatmeal, Pinto Bean and Pickle samples. We each had our favorites (I loved the... More

Excellent meal. Tried the touted pickle pie and pinto bean pie. (Actually we had the 4 pie sampler for $6.95. Well worth it.) Food and service were excellent and that brought us back for breakfast the next morning. Each of us got the French toast with home made bread and a piece of ham. Only negative was the ham. Waitress... More

Had a breakfast which was good. Have never had a small restaurant take an order with a tablet device ( hi tech ). Nothing special but service was good and food fine. Just a pleasant and quiet breakfast.

The bacon is thick and delicious. Eggs and baked goods are fresh. This is the best place we ate in the Capitol Reef area! We didn't try the pies but they look great. If you like fresh and hearty diner food, this is your place.

We went for dinner and were disapointed that they did not have any baked potatoesl. Our salad arrived and before we were half way through it the entree was brought out. The scone was very hot and you could hardly touch it. Unfortunately they didn't drain the oil off and it was very greasy.

Best Club Sandwich I've ever had anywhere! Super nice golden brown fries and out standing iced tea. Warm friendly service and was treated as a local. Can not comment on the motel because we were camped down at Capitol Reef National Park. If you're in the area you should make the time to stop.
