Excellent Small Town Cafe

We visited Beaver in December 2015 for skiing at nearby Eagle Point and had a couple of very good meals at Arshel’s café. It was so good the first night we tried it that we decided to come back the next night as well. Arshel’s is one of those original old time small town cafes that serves good... read more

When traveling on I15 through Utah I make my lunch visits at Arshels. The staff is friendly, the food delicious and inexpensive and it's a good location to stretch you legs during the long drive through Utah.

Service was spectacular! Quick and friendly. Quirky little books on the table for entertainment. Food....not so much. We were hoping for something a little more comforting and it was a little disappointing. Had the fried chicken and the meat was a little funky. Mashed potatoes were great (with the brown gravy). Simple food - we ate it.

We ate there a few days ago for dinner. It was pretty good. Not incredible but pretty good. The prices were fairly reasonable. The waitress was friendly. Not much else to say about the place.

I should have remembered from when we ate here in 2011 that the Fish and Chips is just deep fried frozen fillets. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive and polite. Should have had the special of the day, Fried Steak. The Cream of Potato soup was Excellent however. Just an FYI, no liquor at this establishment.

The atmosphere was nice, if you like this sort of establishment. The food was decent. Not extraordinary but worth stopping for if it's lunchtime and you're in the neighborhood. I enjoyed the experience (and the cheeseburger I had) and would recommend it!

Road weary and raggedy I pulled in drawn by the neon. Pleasant greeting, place to myself. Ordered up the chicken fried steak. She slid that piping hot plate across the table. Simple. Homemade. Delicious. Tender cube steak, fresh. Finally legit mashed potato and green beans! Topped it off with a slice of peanut butter chocolate cream pie. Third only to... More

Visited this vensue with a local who is a regular here. Typical diner fare but all "homemade" including pies. Only one server and she was very busy but efficient and friendly. Had meatloaf and a salad. My meal was fresh and tasty. Appears to be a favorite of the "locals" and has been open for decades. A nice little place... More

Great alternative to the interstate fast food. Good meals, good service, clean place. Worth a two minute detour.

Visiting from Northern Nevada on our way to Bryce Canyon. Drove through town and spotted Arshels Cafe. Looked like a local home style cooking place. We stopped in and were greeted with a friendly smile. My wife decided on Tilapia. According to her the Tilapia was very good. I'm not a fish person so I went for the pot roast.... More
