Nostalgia and good food in one!

Bypass the fast food places just off the I-15 freeway exit, and keep going to Arshels Cafe on Main street in Beaver, Utah. We were here for dinner. Service was excellent and prices very reasonable. This is good old fashioned home cooking. My husband had the pot roast which was fork tender. I had country fried steak and mashed potatoes. There's no alcoholic beverages here but don't let that stop you. Their homemade pies looked just like Mom's but we were too full... More

This is a classic, homestyle cafe that is easy to access off of I-15. We had breakfast on Saturday, April 19 there. It had been a number of years since I'd dined there, and it continues to be one of the best breakfasts in Southern Utah. The restaurant is clean and bright, the coffee is good, the food plentiful and... More

We've eaten at Arshel's every time we travel through Beaver. The food was homey, and the place was frequented by locals. This time, however, the portions were very small and priced well above what they were worth. We won't stop here in the future. It's sad that so many local restaurants get off to a good start only to mess... More

We love to get lost and try to no eat at big chain restaurants & wandered downtown off the highway. The neon sign and little store front pulled us in. Anyplace that the locals eat is always someplace worth going to. Food was simple but good. We both had the beef veggie soup. It was good, not too salty &... More

Stayed overnight in Beaver and restaurant had been recommended by person at the motel. He said it was good home cooking at a reasonable price, and he was right. My husband had the chicken fried steak, and I had chicken. Both were delicious. We didn't try dessert but they sounded good. I would recommend this restaurant.

Heading north on I-15 to Idaho we wanted a stop away from fast food. We had been to this little cafe long ago and found it as good as we remembered. I had a fab pot roast plate with great mashed potatoes and knockout gravy. The wife had a big bowl of clam chowder also very good. Then we shared... More

Looking for dinner when arrived in Beaver on a one night stop over driving from AZ to ID. The service was prompt and the food hot. For a very small town, it was a nice change from fast food joint.

Myself and my wife both had the steak sandwich. My wife had french fries and i had the chicken noodle soup. The soup was very unique. The noodles were thick and very starchy but the quality of the broth made up for it. The steak was a little tough but very tasty and my wife enjoyed the fires. The coffee was the... More
