Not great BBQ. We've eaten here on vacations at least once a year for 7 years. It's ok, not great. Seems like it went down a bit on this last visit. Really liked the bbq stuffed baked potato in the past.

The owner's grandmother started this business in Downtown Wimberly and he has done a good job of keeping it alive. The atmosphere is "Rustic Texan". The barbecue was outstanding! Potato Salad was a little dry - but the barbecue more than made up for it. They don't serve beer :(
There are several "legendary" BBQ's in the Hill country. That and the fact that most Texas guys are BBQ legends in their own minds make it hard for a 'just real good' local place to survive much less thrive. The BBQ is pretty good, the sausage is not. The prices seem pretty high but that's so often the case in a small town. The choices for sides aren't great, but that's so often true of BBQ places, too.
When I go, there are always locals there who eat there often. There is counter service so getting food is quick.
If you are a tourist and you want Bar-B-Q you absolutely must avoid this place. Locals don't eat here (I asked). The food is no-star and the owner was not so nice.
