Looks like Big city Austin folks built a restaurant in Wimberley. Definitely seems higher end. Food was excellent - I had a crab cake which was super good. Black bean and bacon soup was very unique. I do recommend this place. A bit out of the normal "feel" for Wimberley, but the place has been discovered! No longer a secret.

New set in the treehouse the service and the food was very good. I was very impressed with the meatloaf I didn't care for the mashed potatoes. The soup was awesome as well as the ice tea. They had a great selection of beers on tap.

Love it worth the wait. Crab cake is to die for! The atmosphere and the building is very trendy. We will go back.

We waited 50 minutes for a table--we were a party of 11 so I understand that can take a while--we ended up splitting to get two tables for faster seating--then the wait began--we ordered drinks --10 minutes later they came--our order was finally taken and then it was FOREVER before we got our lunch! We waited over an hour for... More

Mid day, we watched the roadrunners and deer play while we had incredible food and cheap happy hour drinks. Their chicken dish with grits was incredible--tender and just how chicken should be, but never is. Happy hour completely affordable, and the quality of service was great without being rushed. Highly recommended for the city folk coming out to the Hill... More

We have eaten lunch at "the Pear" many times and it is always a treat so I was surprised that dinner was such a disappointment. The trout arrived cold and tasted fishy. When we sent it back they prepared a fresh piece which was warmer but also fishy. My companion had the crab cakes and declared them to "have an... More

We go here a lot, have had brunch, lunch, dinner - ALL have been excellent. The quality and presentation of the food is lovely. Matthew is a chef extraordinaire.

I have tried a variety of food from their menu. The soups and salads are very good. I love their Rueben Sandwich and their Crab Cake is delicious and enormous! The restaurant has a modern rustic look with lots of windows. There is outside seating, weather permitting. I like that they collect rainwater and grow their own herbs. It is... More

Beautiful building & view. Wonderful fresh, original & tasty menu. My favorites are the Reuben and the Pork Tenderloin. Many veggie and gluten free items also. Great views overlooking Cypress Creek from the patio, and both the indoor & outdoor dining rooms. Good wine selection and friendly service.

I love this place. The new building is spectacular and has a great view down to a creek; sit outside if the Texas heat allows. The soups are always amazing with intricate flavors, and there are seasonal cool soups for most of the year, and soothing hot soups for cooler times. The menu is a bit limited, and I always... More
