A very good place to eat.

We stopped for lunch late as they were out of the special of the day. No worries as the rest of the menu was great. Had the artichoke dip with flat bread and it was delicious. Not really a dip but a spread to put on really good flat bread. Come early for the daily special. The patty melt was... read more

We were staying next door at the Holiday Inn Express and the people at the front desk told us to try Blue Onion. Yea, walking distant, so you can drink. So good, that on our return trip we stayed at the HI Ex. again, just so we could eat dinner at the Blue Onion one more time. I do not... More

The place had a cool ambiance. Went with family for lunch. The vegetables are marinated & grilled. I'm afraid I would have preferred them without the marinade. Plain olive oil & salt would have been great. Cheese pizza was great & my husband enjoyed his giant meaty calzone.

We visited the Blue Onion in Weslaco after a morning bird walk at the nearby bird refuge. We loved the local art on the walls and the food was extraordinarily fresh. We had an appetizer sampler platter with flatbread, mushrooms, grilled veggies and a garlic goat cheese dip. We also shared a pizza with grilled vegetables and a blueberry pudding... More

The wife and I have eaten at the Blue Onion in Weslaco 3 times now. We have enjoyed all 3 visits. The food is made very well but you don't get a lot for the price. I like the pizzas, especially the handmade crust. The sandwiches and soups are also very good. I also like that they offer a 1/2... More

We chose the Blue Onion one day for lunch because of location and good reviews. I ordered a salad and small pizza. The salad was a bit too large, but the lettuce was fresh. I did not care for the cucumber dressing, so next time I would choose differently. The margherita pizza was flavorful but the sauce too salty (my... More

went between lunch and dinner and was very impressed with the food. Everything tasted fresh and is cooked in real pizza ovens and not a conveyor. Clean all over. Nice meal

I took a business colleague traveling with me to try the Blue Onion again. I remember on previous trips the food tastes were unique. On this trip we walked in the door, stood around for several minutes waiting to be seated. There were about three servers talking to the hostess, one table of guests and two bar guests. The hostess... More

The Blue Onion is a great, cozy place to enjoy a variety of tasty dishes, delicious drinks, and friendly people. The atmosphere is laid back with comfy booths and a bar, yet the artwork and music adds a nice ambience. The homemade flatbreads, pizzas, and calzones have a freshness all their own. My husband loves the nachos from the bar... More
