Always great food!

Food is always great! Salads are fresh & their house balsamic dressing is the best! Love the shrimp & feta wrap....always a hard decision for appetizer. So just get the hummus, goat cheese & garlic. YUM!

Had an awesome meal and cold beer at this place with the family! Loved the homemade chili and all of our party of 5 left happy with their food (quite an accomplishment 'round our parts!). Art on the walls from local artists is a great touch! The place is a little hard to get to from the highway if you're... More

My husband and I came here for lunch. We were staying at the Holiday Inn next door and got a free appetizer for being guests there. We figured we'd give it a shot. For being in small town America, this place could easily make it in the more metropolitan markets. The food is fresh, simple and well priced. The artichoke... More

Owners work at the place. They care about ingredients. They respond to constructive criticism. Best salads in the valley, and I never eat salad. Pizzas are as good as any west coast type thin crust outside LA. Beer and cocktail selection very good. Pricing very fair. A gem of the mid valley.

They have a wonderful menu, a welcome change as Weslaco has a lot of franchise restaurants with the same old offerings. Their salads looked marvelous but with husband along we had to try the pizza because of the other reviews and we were not disappointed. It was a flaky thin crust and very good. They also are like a mini... More

Made our first visit to the Blue Onion recently. This is our 6th year to winter in the Rio Grande Valley. This restaurant made it to the top of our list. Extensive menu - excellent food & service.

i am a Winter Texan and miss the pizza I grew up on up north. Then we discovered the Blue Onion--awesome pizza fixed any way I want and just as good as home. Their frozen margaritas are HUGE and good--but big enough for 2.

Tired of the chain look whether sports-themed or western? The Blue Onion won't disappoint you. While waiting for your food, check the original artwork displayed. The extensive menu provided lots of options for my 7 lunch companions and me. Everyone's order was correct, even the special request, and all were satisfied with the portion sizes.(Salads were huge!) Plenty of parking at... More

My husband and I discovered this spot several years ago and we return when we are in the area. A nice place to grab a beer and a sandwich. The have several vegetarian options but could do with a few more. The quality and service are consistent. Overall a good value.
