We liked this place a lot for delicious dishes and authentic atmosphere. We didn't meet any ghosts, but that's fine:)I don't think this place needs to attract people using this ghost trick. We ordered lemonade, fried jalapeños,corn, chicken fried steak and baked catfish and everything was amazingly delicious.A pleasant surprise was also that kids eat free on Sundays. The cheese cake was a little but fat,but... We were able to spend some time during Halloween week in the area so there was no way we would miss Catfish Plantation. We had a group with us from all over the country - they laughed at us at first - but then admitted we had fun and the food was excellent.

Had a great time here. It was October so all the wait staff where dressed in costumes. The place was decorated with Fall and Halloween décor. Lovely atmosphere. The pumpkin patch outside would have made a perfect photo op. The bathrooms hauuuuunted. Go in there and talk some smack and watch what happens. The food was delish and they served... More

I have been to this restaurant several times. It has been a long time, so I thought I would take some friends to eat there. I would not waste your time or money or appetite on this place. We were all very disappointed. It took thirty minutes to seat a party of 7. You would think it was because they... More

Some of the best seafood my husband and I have eaten. The hushpuppies are delicious and light. Catfish was fried to perfection and the fried shrimp were large. The waitress was very helpful with the menu. Prices are reasonable. Will make this our new favorite place to eat when we travel to the NHRA Races every year and any other... More

The building is an old home with a reported haunted history, which has been documented in articles and TV shows. Furnishings are mix-matched and blend into the decor or the building's time period. The food is a-maz-ing!!! Had never been a fan of catfish before eating here. The onion rings are fantastic...be careful or you'll fill up and won't have... More

This is a must do in Waxahachie. This is a great restaurant housed in an old home that is haunted. You can see some of the investigations held there on their website. But it is not spooky and won't scare the little ones. It is a beautiful location and great setting. The dining rooms are the old rooms (they did... More

The service was outstanding. The old house has been well restored. The hamburger was moist and well prepared. The fries were fresh cut. The servings were generous and well priced. We were very glad we found this out of the way gem. We used the GPS to locate it hidden in a little neighborhood.

Best catfish ever!! The service was just awesome. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Could not have asked for better service or better food. Prices were not bad either. Went around 8 at night. Hopefully one day, will get back down that way and will stop in. Best service + great food = great anniversary dinner.... More

Beautiful place with the old days charm. Tasty food and kind staff. I was looking around wondering if I would see someone from "that old days", but nothing appeared. :)
