Must look for it

In an old Victorian house, they say it is haunted, no problems. Food was tasty and came out promptly. Fixed a problem quickly without batting an eye. Lovely setting

Had lunch here with friends a few days back and the food was great! Main dish portions were very nice size but thought the sides were a bit small. I had the Blackened Catfish and it was delicious.

I found this place on TA while traveling from Joplin to Austin. My husband is a fan of Cajun and creole food, so we took a chance. For the record, they don't serve lunch anymore and the menu is a lot more extensive than what is listed here on TA. We were told our wait for 2 would be 30m,... More

This restaurant serves great catfish along with fantastic sides including fresh homemade onion rings, sweet potato fries, & fried pickles. The menu of catfish allows choice between traditional fried, Cajun style, or baked. All are good, portions generous, & prices fair for quality. My favorite dish is the "Papa Platter," all you can eat order! It is shameful for me... More

This is an amazing hidden gem that was recommended to me by a good friend. The catfish is one of the best that I have sampled on my travels. The staff are interesting, as is the interior.

The food is hit and miss. Mostly miss. Sometimes the catfish is not catfish at all but something called "swai". The hostess will leave you sitting around for an hour with empty tables because they would rather you were bored in the waiting area than in the restaurant.

Food average and greasy. Not sure what the hype was about. Service fair. Waiting area inside as hot as it was outside only shaded.

Seating is crowded little tables. Fried catfish was loaded with grease, paid for this later. Food was slow in coming and could have been hotter. Server was just ok.

We were traveling from Missouri to San Antonio and needed to stop for the night. We asked for a non-chain restaurant in the area. The Catfish Plantation was recommended. The menu starts with the story of this historic home and the hauntings. We were more interested in the food. The wine was generous. The catfish can be fried two different... More
