Best Catfish Around!

This place is just awesome!! I wish I lived closer, because I would eat here weekly. The atmosphere is super cool, the staff is always great, and the food... the food is the best! I haven't been lucky enough to have a "ghostly experience", but maybe I will one day!

The catfish is always great. Try the spicy catfish for a little more flavor. Always a chance for spotting some ghostly happening!!

We have enjoyed Catfish Plantation over the years, and we made the minor detour on our way back to Fort Worth to be sure to enjoy it once again. We were not disappointed. We shared the platter of catfish/crab cake/shrimp and added an extra side of red beans and rice to go with the cole slaw and okra sides. Each... More

The best sweet tea I ever teasted. Great food, good price (you get your money worth and then some) and the people make it like home. There may or may not be a ghost but with food and prices like this who cares.

We enjoyed the catfish and the trimmings but the slow service detracted from the overall experience. The restaurant was not busy on the day we visited and the waitress told us "your food will be right out" not long after we ordered. We waited another 20 minutes after that for it to be brought, even though we ordered the house... More

Having lived in Waxahachie you learn about all the great local places to eat at and Catfish Plantation is one of them. We had catfish, slaw and tea all of which was great. The atmosphere is nice and with the ghost legend your experience is sure to be exciting. We enjoyed going there and have never seen the ghost or... More

We liked this place a lot for delicious dishes and authentic atmosphere. We didn't meet any ghosts, but that's fine:)I don't think this place needs to attract people using this ghost trick. We ordered lemonade, fried jalapeños,corn, chicken fried steak and baked catfish and everything was amazingly delicious.A pleasant surprise was also that kids eat free on Sundays. The cheese cake was a little but fat,but... We were able to spend some time during Halloween week in the area so there was no way we would miss Catfish Plantation. We had a group with us from all over the country - they laughed at us at first - but then admitted we had fun and the food was excellent.

Had a great time here. It was October so all the wait staff where dressed in costumes. The place was decorated with Fall and Halloween décor. Lovely atmosphere. The pumpkin patch outside would have made a perfect photo op. The bathrooms hauuuuunted. Go in there and talk some smack and watch what happens. The food was delish and they served... More

Some of the best seafood my husband and I have eaten. The hushpuppies are delicious and light. Catfish was fried to perfection and the fried shrimp were large. The waitress was very helpful with the menu. Prices are reasonable. Will make this our new favorite place to eat when we travel to the NHRA Races every year and any other... More
