Located on small Water Street in a residential area of this modest, but very historic, old city South of Dallas is this charming resturant in an old home, with the certified presence of at least three ghostly personages. Great food fried, baked, or grilled catfish with southern style sides, and other offering. Reasonable prices and superior service. Handicap access if... More

Had to see and experience this place while visiting Dallas. As seen on My Ghost Story, it promises a haunting experience. I was disappointed not to have had anything paranormal happen, even in the infamous rest room. Wait was long, about 45 mins but it was pleasant Staff was mixed. Some friendly, some not. Food was mediocre except for the... More

Great atmosphere and awesome staff. The food is down home and has great flavor. The quality and service are there. Go get some fish.

We took a friend there for her birthday. All of us enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Though the wait was long (not too long) the food and service made up for it.

I am from the South, and I know what great fried catfish tastes like. This catfish was tasteless and I was greatly disappointed.

There is a great story here and the charm of the place is hard to beat, but I have to say the last couple of times we've been here the food has been less than amazing. I grew up coming here so I been here more than I choose to disclose :) The past couple of times the fish has... More

Catfish Plantation is fairly decent food, but nothing special. Just your typical catfish. But for what you get it's pretty overpriced. Not the fabulous dining experience it's hyped to be. Service is OK, not great.

Check out the Halloween and Xmas Decor! I have eaten here many times as well as gone here for their ghost hunting nights in the Spring. It is a great place run by a local family. The food is almost completely from scratch and fresh. In the winter time be sure to catch the Chef's fresh fruit cobblers. There so... More

I have been eating at the Catfish Plantation since I was a kid. The food is fabulous; I've never had a bad meal here. Over the years I've introduced many friends to this place. Although there are claims its haunted, I've never had an experience to confirm the claims. The place is drafty and chilly, but the house was built... More

Great casual atmosphere, cool to look around at the history, and the "ghostly" appearances. The sweet potato fries are great!
