The service was outstanding. The old house has been well restored. The hamburger was moist and well prepared. The fries were fresh cut. The servings were generous and well priced. We were very glad we found this out of the way gem. We used the GPS to locate it hidden in a little neighborhood.

Best catfish ever!! The service was just awesome. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Could not have asked for better service or better food. Prices were not bad either. Went around 8 at night. Hopefully one day, will get back down that way and will stop in. Best service + great food = great anniversary dinner.... More

Beautiful place with the old days charm. Tasty food and kind staff. I was looking around wondering if I would see someone from "that old days", but nothing appeared. :)

Every year my wife and I love visiting Catfish Plantation to take in the atmosphere and great food. The staff always does a great job and plays a long with the spooks. It's a great time for the kids as well. Plenty of out-of-towners visit on the weekends so make sure you call ahead. The food portions are decent size... More

This is a restaurant that has a reputation for being haunted. It is at 814 Water Street in Waxahachie, Texas. The restaurant is located in an antique house. Most of all the food is outstanding and the servers were so friendly and love to talk about the restaurant... Outstanding!!!!

My sister had seen a program on the travel channel about the restaurant being haunted. We happened to be traveling thru Waxahachie to Dallas and decided to stop and have dinner. I'm glad we did. Our fried catfish and crab cakes were outstanding. Everything was super fresh. The service was very good. The restaurant is in a beautiful quaint old... More

We ate on a Thursday evening and had the special-all you can eat for $13. The portions were huge and neither of us had room for more. The catfish was delicious. We had amoxicillin of spivey and regular breaking. If you don't like a little heat don't get the spices. The tartar and. cocktail sauce are home made and tasty... More

I have visited the Catfish Plantation on a couple of occasions with different guest. When in town some customers have read up on the resturaunt and of course, would like to experience the feel and the food. The food is not the best in the area, we started with fried pickles which is generally a favorite of ours, the batter... More

We ate dinner at Catfish Plantation on 5/2/14. For some reason it wasn't crowded, but usually is according to the staff. I had the cajun fried catfish. It was nicely seasoned. I can honestly say it was the best fried catfish I've EVER had!! Wish they would open a restaurant in Houston!
