If you visit Waxahachie have lunch at the Doves Nest, you will not regret it. The restaurant is located inside a antiques store, so if you enjoy eating and shopping for antiques you can't go wrong....enjoy.

Visited Waxachachi for a wedding and had a great lunch at the Dove's Nest. What a menu. Everyone raved about their entrees and I loved my chicken apricot salad sandwich. Great food, fun place for lunch and lovely items for sale in adjoining store. The Southern clam chowder soup was great, their chicken sandwich with cranberries was exceptional and their desert are worth the trip. They have a lovely shop offering fun craft items. Great place to have lunch.

Love the food and atmosphere at the Dove's Nest and always enjoy shopping in the boutique while waiting to be seated! Everything I've eaten here has been delicious ...a must place to visit and re-visit in Waxahachie!

Fabulous food and sophisticated for a small town. They are known for their chicken apricot salad, but the "specials" are great. Love the chocolate bourbon pecan pie, which should be shared. the chicken salad is great with walnuts in it! Everything is home made/fresh made. Great little get a way for the afternoon. Great shopping there with unique gifts and antiques.
