Odom's in Waxahachie has closed. There is a place called Odom's west of downtown Dallas across the Margaret Hunt Bridge, but don't know how the food is.

A great BBQ place should be the place where the best recipes are served. I cannot say that for Odoms, but the BBQ is great . They need better sides . But , they are friendly though and give good portions . You'd think granny Odom would have shared some killer recipes. Just my opinion .

I Love bbq and this is definitely not worthy of being called bbq. Everything tasted generic!!!! The ribs and pork had no flavor at all. My bbq sandwich had more fat then actual meat. The beans also had no flavor, yuck!!!! I ended up eating chips with potato salad to fill me up until I could go home and eat.... More

We ate here and yes, it is a hole in the wall but very good You eat OUTSIDE which was no problem on a breezy Texas night. Reasonably price and good servings, ribs are meat off the bone and beans are good. Potatoe salad is excellent ( no cole slaw) and drinks are bottled. Worth the stop ESP if looking... More

I love Odom's there food is unbeatable. The brisket is very tender and has a nice smoke flavor. They are very quick once you make your way through the line to the ordering window, they are always crowded!!!

If you are interested in the true Texas brisket BBQ experience, this is the place!! These gems are not known for their atmosphere or even the comfort of the seating, it's all about the beef! If it's too hot to sit outside, take it home!! You gotta go!!

We heard it was a good place for BBQ. We must have had the left overs. It was poor quality meat, we ordered ribs and got knuckles. Ribs were on the top of the order, but horrible meat underneath it. We ate it on the road, so there was no way to turn around and complain. We threw it out... More

This place has great food, but the building is only large enough for the kitchen and I hate eating outside in these Texas summers. A larger place with indoor seating would make this a 5.

I have to say after seeing the other reviews,I have decided I either picked a bad day or the others that have done a review really got lucky. I ordered a sliced beef sandwich .I have to say it was fairly big but not for the price There was so much sauce that it had the bun soggy to the... More

Quick service and tasty food. We make this stop when we're on our way home from work.
