Good food from scratch!

Chicken fried steak, garlic mashed potatoes, fried okra, cream gravy, corn muffins, chicken and dumplings and peach cobbler, are you hungry yet? I sure was. This was my first trip to Watauga, Texas. I used my trip advisor app on my mobile to find the Cotton Patch. The reviews were accurate... read more

This is a great place for comfort food/home cooking. The best thing they offer by FAR is the chicken fried steak. Also, if you want an appetizer, I highly recommend the fried mushrooms or the bacon-cheddar fries.

We eat here at least twice a month. The food is great home cooking fare. Everything is fresh and tasty from the salads to the desserts. It reminds me of the way the Black Eyed Pea used to be. Don't miss the $6.99 Monday night chicken fried chicken or steak special. Endless baskets of fresh rolls and cornbread. This is... More

My daughter and I went here for lunch after a morning of shopping. I had the grilled chicken salad, which was really nice. Crunchy vegetables topped with tasty grilled chicken. Also, this is the only restaurant that has such a nice variety of dressings, including low calorie ranch dressing. Most restaurants offer 1 low fat dressing. I love that. Daughter... More

The Cotton Patch is one of the best places to eat in Texas. We had Lunch at around 11:30. I had the 10oz. RibEye Steak ( Medium ) and my lovely Wife had the Chicken Fryed Chicken. The steak was perfect, the veggies were great and my salad with the honey mustard was also outstanding. My Wife had the chicken... More

We go to Cotton Patch on a regular basis, and it is a reasonably priced, consistent place to get home style cooking. I would not go here if I wanted a great steak, even though theirs is pretty decent. But if you are in the mood for Chicken Fried Chicken or Chicken Fried Steak, theirs is really the best. The... very fast service! good food! (we both got salads) EDIT 7/2/08: Went back again this time for dinner. Service was pretty good. It was busy, and we had a new guy. He was pretty good, still learning the menu, but was friendly. Food was good. Our friend had chicken fried steak and it was HUGE. I had the cajun shrimp... More
